RE: New install after upgrade to Windows 10

I upgraded from Win8.1 to Win10 a few weeks ago, and just updated to the latest Command release and it works fine. If I can answer any specific questions, please let me know.

RE: Tactics - 1973 - no standoff weapons.

<t> One refinement to the good advice above - attacking from multiple angles may NOT be advisable. Take a look at the firing arcs of the SAM systems on the ship(s) you're attacking. If for instance they have firing and guidance arcs forward and aft with no overlap, only attack from either forward or ...

[NON-ISSUE] OODA Loop - Detection

<t> I searched without success for previous discussions on this topic. <br/>

<br/>
It looks like 'every' surface unit has a 15 second detection ooda loop. It also appears that the detection ooda loop is unaffected by unit proficiency. Is that correct ...

Fair points, but I am not suggesting the change in load-out for free. Rather, what about 3 hours instead of 6 in the example above? It would allow for the Japanese results at Midway.<br/>

That is very good rationale, but it fails (in my opinion) in one frequent case: you have, say, and FA-18 with a combat load for ground strike, and you switch to a different ground strike configuration (ex. from Mk82 to Mk84 ...

RE: Unable to detach ships from group

<t> I've done this by pulling up the Formation Editor for the group, THEN selecting the unit icon in the main window, then hitting D. If/when this is successful you should see the "Station" notation and diamond disappear and then when you close the FE window the unit should be on its own.<br/>

Setting 'Weapons Tight'

<t> Is there a way to order a unit/group to NOT fire, no matter what? Basically a 'weapons tight' order to prevent the AI from firing. I'm currently in a scenario where the air battle is at the outer edge of the AA missile range of my surface group, and the ships are pumping out pairs of missiles ...
