Already covered by pirates. If you look at the randomly generated pirate names, the Smuggler ones tend to have corporate-themed names. Now, pirate diplomacy really badly needs an overhaul, especially its underlying assumption that every pirate will be of the raider variety.

Fighters are fine in normal combat, but obscenely overpowered in OOS (Out of Sector) combat which is calculated differently. I have had lone construction ships armed with 3 bays hold off entire fleets in OOS.

Paradox demonstrated that you can have decent diplomacy in a 4X game, so theres really no reason to not have it.

This sounds like a Windows 8/8.1 compatability issue, my hardware is almost identical to yours with exception of running windows 7 and it runs perfectly fine without Steam. Have you tried running it in compatability mode?

That screenshot looks curious, it seems to indicate that pirates can gain the benefits of wonders even though they cannot discover them...

Might also need to do more testing to see if research wonders really work for pirates or not.

Generic ruins you can change in the game editor. Special ruins are not moddable.

Go to advanced search
