Southern Storm?

<t> Hey guys. I got into the Flashpoint Campaigns series late last year and then had to put it down for a little while to concentrate on family, studies, all that jazz. <br/>
<br/>
I found an announcement thread talking about Flashpoint Campaigns: Southern Storm and of course I was really ...

<r> Well, to be fair my issue is that I'm a college student, and paying my way through...so disposable income is an issue. That's not being cheap, that's just real life.<br/>

RE: Ordering a unit not to fire...is it possible?

<t> This would be something that would go great for SOPs. Tell a unit to hold fire unless: 'Enemy gets within x number of Hexes' or 'Enemy spots and fires upon you' or something like that.<br/>
<br/>
Just a button that toggles fire at will on and off wouldn't be very useful, since you don't have ...

RE: Interested in buying but...

<t> Well, the thing is that there's such a thing as a supply/demand curve. Or in this case, pricing/demand curve.<br/>
<br/>
If your game was priced at $10,000, probably no one would buy it, no matter how good it is. If the game were priced at $1, everyone would buy it - because, why not? It's ...

Interested in buying but...

<t> Because the game costs so much! I know it's probably impolite to talk about a company's pricing points, but it's really holding me back right now. I was wondering if there's any sort of demo I could take a look at? <br/>
<br/>
Or maybe some insight into why the game is so pricey, or why it's ...

What's your favorite scenario?

<t> Hello everyone.<br/>
<br/>
I'm looking for ideas on what to play, and I was hoping you guys could make some recommendations. So I'm wondering if you guys could say what your favorite scenario is, maybe a little bit about why you like it or why it's interesting, and maybe your strategy on ...

RE: Does size matter?

<t> What I'd be interested in knowing is, does the size of a 'unit' matter? <br/>
<br/>
i.e. a NATO tank Platoon is 4 tanks. But the smallest individual unit that Warsaw Pact has is a (I think) company, with 10-12 tanks. Therefore is a Soviet tank 'company' easier to hit with artillery or even ...

RE: Love This Game

<t> Hello. I can't claim to be very experienced or skilled in the game but I will try to answer your questions.<br/>
<br/>
1) Everything is, essentially, dice rolls. So it's possible for a single tank sitting out in a field not to be hit by artillery...this may even be likely, since a single AFV ...

<t> Thanks for the information, it answered all of my questions. Southern Storm sounds like it'll be a great addition, though I hope you can find a way to sneak some of its unit control features into Red Storm's DLC.<br/>

So, what is coming next?

<t> Hello,<br/>
<br/>
I'm still new to the forums of course but reading through some threads I've heard some references to the future of Flashpoint Campaigns which I'd like clarifications on. I've heard references to great things coming in the next patch. But I've also heard about things coming in ...

What is the role of infantry?

<t> I am looking for some help on how to use infantry effectively, and what exactly their role is in this game and the Cold War battlefield. <br/>

Issuing Complex Orders?

<t> Hello, I was wondering if it's possible to 'link' or queue up commands for units? <br/>

For example, can I tell a unit to move to a bridge and begin the process to blow it up as soon as he arrives? As opposed to sending him there, and making him wait 15 minutes doing nothing while my ...

RE: Help with what to do once a battle starts

Are orders supposed to be instant? Right now I issue an order and most units wait between one to two command cycles to begin moving...so -around- 30 minutes. Is this a bug, or unintended?

Help with what to do once a battle starts

<t> Hi, really interesting game, trying to get the hang of it.<br/>
<br/>
Basically what I do right now is set up my forces to hold back the enemy, inflict a lot of casualties, but gradually get overrun. My main problem is that my army feels so unresponsive (and I know this is on purpose, but ...
