Re: Has Flight Plan Editor Been Moved?

I wonder why they made this change. It was convenient planning the mission route via the mission page but now it has to be done under ESCORTs or the ATO? Planning the route for the main package under ESCORTS seems strange to me.

1278.1 Strike aircraft circle target without dropping bombs

Twelve A-6's loaded with MK-84's assigned to alpha strike.
Flight Size = 1

Some aircraft will continuously circle the target without dropping their bombs. Have to manually change their altitude to a safe AGL altitude (2000ft).

Re: Damn the torpedos - some rant and hints

This mission is hard as balls. After several tries I still can't get anyone in the task group to the finish line. Once those Backfires takeoff it's game over.

Ok I had to pull a Kirk- Kobayashi Maru and separate the civilian cargo convoy from the Lexington's task group. I sent the civilians down ...

1270.1 Issue creating new reference points with Control Click + drag

When creating a new reference point using the Control key and dragging on a reference point, the new reference point is created but it is invisible. You can confirm the new reference point is created when using Shift + left click drag over the region where the new Control + click reference point was ...

Enemy submarines surface upon loading save game.

I experienced a CTD while playing Don of a New Era and upon loading a saved game prior to the CTD, all of the enemy subs surfaced.

Re: Naval and Defense News

What makes the “Seahawks” special is that they are able to do aerial refueling, the first E-2D squadron to do so, Cline said.

That refueling means the planes can go for much longer, up to 10 hours instead of five.
My god, ten hours in an E-2D.

Re: Ukraine 22 - Air war analysis

Watching Ukraine's drones operate with near impunity had me scratching my head. Why aren't Russia's highly vaunted SAMs swatting them out of the sky?

I'd love to hear SeaQueen's thoughts on this topic.

RE: Tacview: Should I ?

I bought it with the expectation that I could watch replays through Tacview but unfortunately that feature ended up being exclusive to the pro version CMO. So unless you fly DCS I say it's not worth it or if you're curious wait until the next Steam sale.

Planet selection tooltips

Hello.

I recently bought SE on Steam and while watching a DasTactic video on how to play I noticed he had tooltips for each planet he hovered his mouse pointer over. In my game I have no tooltips when I hover over a planet. Tooltips work fine elsewhere in the UI.

RE: SNOOPY help/suggestions

<r> What I like to do for subs is place a range ring using the draw circle tool in the game. Next you want to set the reference points fixed to the sub so that the range ring travels with it. For example, here's a 15nm ring around your sub in Snoopy. Try to keep most of the sonar capable contacts ...

RE: I'm beginning to understand why this game can crash sometimes...

<t> I loaded your save and when the warheads are about 3/4 the way to their target the game slows dramatically; units will move for a few seconds and then appear stopped for several seconds. During the 'stop' periods I can still move the map around and zoom in and out normally. Once the majority of ...
