Re: 2D mode unable to find the location of enemy guns

When playing in 2d mode I would recommend playing with Options - Details - High and the Delay set to Persistent.

You will miss too much detail in 2d mode without these options set.

The report will give the hex location of the firer and the weapon type.

Supply Question

Should the circled unit (14 PzD Recce Unit) be isolated? Currently it has the yellow dot indicating Extended Support, although it is not in the HQ Extended Support highlight (yellow)? thx

Supply Routing

<r> The attached is from turn 1 of the St Vith scenario.<br/>

The supply route seems to have a bug between Stadkyll and the 1SS location. <br/>
<br/>
Obviously the route indicated is not the most efficient! <br/>

Probe

Why use Probe? As it has a 150% Hit disadvantage. Don't know what the probability is that you will increase Recon points.

What effect does Probe have on the enemy unit Vigor factor?

RE: March Mode too prohibitive?

<t> I do have the latest beta patch.<br/>
<br/>
When you consider the effect of Intercept Fire and Ambush plus the Road Damage penalty on March Mode it makes it a no-brainer for the German player to assess this feature as a non-starter. It seems so prohibitive I think it has been designed this way ...

March Mode too prohibitive?

<t> Most of us appreciate the road situation in the Ardennes Offensive and it is an important factor to implement in a game of this battle. But is March Mode as implemented at the moment too prohibitive in the game?<br/>
<br/>
. Movement action point cost is halved, but only on roads.<br ...

RE: Desert War: Why Didn't You Buy?

<t> Why I did not buy. Africa is not my cup of tea but a big fan of WEGO! Even in a hex and counter game, the look and feel is important and I don't think DW cut it. Games from indy developers come and go, so a good single player game is important, ie AI was not received well. WEGO and these type of ...

RE: Why did my artillery fail to fire? [video]

Hi Jacques,

There is an artillery over-stack (attack) calculation. Hex Stats - Prev Art provides data.

Otherwise, it could be a supply issue.

If I may summarise.<br/>
RETREAT can mean anything from disengagement due to the attacker spending all action points to the defender surrendering the hex and retreating to another (as per the example).<br/>
So in the example, all the ...

RE: What difficulty level against AI

I use the Hard setting. The US AI seems to use Intercept Fire more often which I think is more realistic given the performance of US arty at the time.
