RE: Anybody still playing the game?

<t> I've read the other thread, regarding the situation with developer etc, very sorry to hear that. I extend my best wishes to him.<br/>
<br/>
I had a quick play with the scenario editor last night, moved some units around and changed starting positions etc. Seems quite straight forward. The text ...

RE: Anybody still playing the game?

<t> Howdy ringoblood, thanks for replying. Had an hour's play of the gaame. It's a bit clunky but has potential for my liking. I need to read the manual on a few bits. Modding would be a challenge, but having Antietam, Gettysburg maps would be cool wouldn't it. I know nothing about this sort of ...

RE: Anybody still playing the game?

I have just purchased BAB, I know what i'll be doing tonight! Saved up some money. I did see a quick playthrough of FOF, and as you say it did also remind me of the AGEOD system, which I tried awhile ago and it didn't float my boat.
Time to install BAB now! Exciting times [:D]

RE: Anybody still playing the game?

Thanks Zak. Yes, that's the impression I get. BAB is an updated Forge Of Freedom? Do you play Forge Of Freedom? How do the two compare?
Many thanks.
Regards, Chris.

RE: Anybody still playing the game?

<t> Hi Yogi, thank-you for your reply. I've been watching some playthroughs, and quite impressed with it. Feels like a good ole' hex and counter table top, which appeals to me.<br/>
Does the PBEM work ok? Do you have/play Forge Of Freedom?<br/>
Many thanks.<br/>

Anybody still playing the game?

<t> Hi all, I've been thinking of buying this game for sometime. I'm really into the ACW and watched playthroughs of it on youtube. Really like the look of it. Does the game contain an editor? that you could use to create your own maps etc (Gettysburg!)and untis, so you can then play them out ...

RE: Things that need fixing in Germany at War 1.08

<t> Hello Ron, would it be possible to incorporate ambient sounds of battle, scrolling throughout whilst in gameplay? (like in tigers on the hunt for instance) in addition to the existing weather effects. The odd clatter of an MG42 and some distant explosions would add to the ambience wonderfully ...

Enjoying the demo of this game!

<t> I've been playing the demo of GAWB41 and Panzer Corps. I prefer GAWB41 and am now thinking of buying it.<br/>
There appears to be not many custom scenarios made for it etc compared to other titles and it has limited support.<br/>
Find it a bit bizarre, as it's a cracking game, and reminds me ...

Why use the JSGME thing when you can open windows explorer and copy and paste to your hearts desire[8D] create a backup folder of the original graphic files in case it all goes wrong, and job done!

RE: Anybody still playing FOF?

<t> Thanks mate. I'd be interested to know any thoughts on what is a decent AAW game. I used to play civil war generals 2, that gripped me for a bit but it won't work on windows 10 and I have tried using that dosbox thing but I can't get my head round all that stuff. It's so frustrating as I'm ...

RE: Anybody still playing FOF?

Hi guys, many thanks indeed for your thoughts. I have decided not to buy FOF and am now researching brother against brother on youtube, which looks like an updated version of FOF. Cheers then. Best regards.

Anybody still playing FOF?

<t> I'm thinking of buying FOF. I have been looking at brother against brother and civil war 2 as well and FOF appears to be closer to civil war generals 2, the old classic.<br/>
I'll be running it on windows 10, I see on another thread that somebody said it was ok on windows 10. Is that a full ...

This is what I imagined for snow scenario's[:)] It's never felt right to me playing Stalingrad scenario's in SL without snow boards, lovely stuff. I'm really hoping they can go forward with this as it opens up so many other possibilities too. Thanks for sharing, love it!
