While we await the Cold War stand alone game, the link Oberst Klink posted will provide you with the excellent CW Europe mod. It's pre-2.02 but works with Win10.

If you haven't been playing JTCS 2.02, you are in for a great experience.

You can control the animation speed of both sides with a variable slider for instance.

I always disliked the restriction of the two-speed option: fast or slooow.

While playing a "what if scenario" I made up with post 1945 air support, I encountered a bitmap error.

It seems the A-1 Skyraider (U.S.) was missing SP10525 so I made one and it fixed the problem for my version of the game (2.02).

My favorite uncle served in Patton's Fourth Armored from 1944-45.

When I first got the game I played all the Fourth Armored scenarios first!

Whenever I play, if possible, I disconnect from the internet and shut down all anti-virus, anti-malware programs etc.

I find that helps to keep the game flowing smoothly on my laptop.

Looks like a fun scenario indeed!
