RE: Hard Cover Manual?

<t> Personally I think a hardcover manual is a bad idea. Too many tweaks and rules changes will quickly make a hardcover manual obsolete. It's not like the old days when a game released with a good manual and maybe one or two patches to fix bugs. Most times games like WITE end up being works in ...

RE: Slitherine poll

No offense but why do I need to go to Reddit or Twitter if I want to talk about Slitherine/Matrix games? These forums have worked fine for years. Why post a poll to Twitter instead of here on these forums. Doesn't make sense.

It is fairly simple, but to help make it easier to gauge comfortable temperatures I've added a few ranges below.<br/>

20-29c is 68-84f<br/>
30-39c is 86-102f<br/>

Could we have an option?

<t> I don't want to sound nitpicky but using celcius for temperatures instead of farenheit really confuses me. I never had to learn that and it's confusing for me when when generating planets and reading reports. Is there any way to give an option to switch to farenheit and imperial measurements ...

RE: What planet types have people enjoyed?

I've only had the game a few hours. So far I don't re-roll. I just go with the cards I've been dealt. Think it's better that way and more of a challenge.

RE: seems many of us here weren't wrong

<t> One of the reasons I think the game didn't take off was the battle selection. Put Gettysburg in the game and it sells. We got Bull Run and some lesser known battles. This game should have had the more well known battles included at release. A map editor and OOB editor wouldn't have hurt either ...

RE: When does something become history and not "too political"?

<t> One other thing I thought about are the modern scenarios for different Matrix games taken straight out of the headlines. Wouldn't they be considered political in nature? CMANO DLC had a North Korea scenario and if I'm not mistaken a scenario about current events in Syria. There's scenarios ...

RE: When does something become history and not "too political"?

<t> That's a good question. If you think about it these war and strategy games we play are pretty much all based on real life events. War in one sense is an extension of politics. How do you discuss WW II and Hitler without being political? How do you discuss the ACW and slavery without being ...

RE: Community Scenario Pack (Official)

<t> Got a question. I haven't purchased CMO yet. Still using CMANO. The Steam workshop is no good to me now, correct? Everything is geared towards CMO? In other words if I would download the CSP from the workshop it wouldn't work on CMANO? It's really confusing given that there's only one store page ...

Actually downloading and looking at the pack will show you that it is #41, the 23 files are additional to the ones present in #40, they are all compatible with CMANO, and this is not some 4D chess move by the illuminati to force you onto C:MO ...

In order:<br/>
<br/>
- This is the 'official' pack, with #41 the latest.<br/>
- You can copy over an existing community folder with Pack #40 from CMANO, but you wouldn't get the 23 new ones (or any updated versions of the old ones).<br ...

RE: Community Scenario Pack (Official)

<t> I'm a bit confused. I already have Community Scenario Pack #40 for CMANO and it has way more than 23 scenarios in it. What's the difference between that pack and this 'official' pack. Another thread in these forums says that all I have to do is copy scenarios over from CMANO to CMO. If that's ...

RE: Command: Modern Operations - FAQ

<r> Late to the party on this one but got a question. Will current owners of the original version get any type of discount on purchase of the new game. I laid out a big sum for the first game. Would hate to think I have to turn around and put out the same for the second version of what is basically ...

RE: Opinion

<t> Thanks for the response. My native resolution is 1600 x 900. I guess I could lower the resolution to see if that helps. The thing is 1600 x 900 works fine in III but in IV I have a hard time seeing things. The game runs real sluggish too. I realize my system isn't top of the line but a six core ...
