<t> 1. Any choice has its merits - southern approach = flatter terrain, suited to rapid advancements and less prone to supply issues caused by terrain; cutting off the Caucasus is a very good move, the USSR's income will take a severe blow. Northern approach = marshes, forests but smaller distances ...
<t> So it is the AI's turn and suddenly I notice attrition popup msg, explosion and sound somewhere in the forests north of Rzhev. Seems several russian units went without supply and were hit with attrition losses.<br/> Said russian units were outside of Axis spotting range that is why I thought to ...
I installed the latest patch/update...I think it is 1.16.02 ?
If it is ok, we can go...will you make the game and pick your side?
I am at work now, I can play in about 6 hours or so
<t> Btw Turkey would be awesome as well. But it starts out at zero leaning, you got some triggers - Cairo (up to 25% if i recall correctly), Sevastopol (up to 10%) but Allies have also a very good trigger - if they see you go for Turkey, they could invade Rhodes and the impact on Turkey leaning is ...
<t> Hey , thanks for the inputs guys.<br/> <br/> @ Sugar - yeah, I know that event but as far as I remember it occurs in 1941.<br/> <br/> @PvtBenjamin - ofc i am well aware Spain would be best for the Axis.<br/> <br/> All I was trying to discuss here was if there was an easiest option to win ...
<t> @Sugar - care to enlighten me about this matruh stufF? I tested it in 40 by moving an italian army inside matruh and nothing happens. Maybe i am missing something here.<br/> <br/> Anyway, disrupting the convoy from 39 or early 40 via diplomacy is nothing to scoff at. The trick being that the ...
<t> Oh, sry if i may not get it right - placing units near Marsa Matruh actually cancels the convoy (i mean Iraq goes more pro axis right? )? didn't know that - if this is true, then indeed the incentive is less for diploing Iraq.<br/> <br/> True getting iraq via diplo is not the goal here, only ...
<r> Spain vs Iraq?<br/> <br/> 1. Spain - a lot of players tend to consider Spain paramount - more cash, more troops (and good troops that is). The cons are: the Allies are likely to counter diplo you and very likely to defend Casablanca If you try to force the spanish joining DE.<br/> <br/> 2 ...
Btw I tested the 2 turns Poland in 1.16 - yeah it works even with the bomber nerfs, provided you knock the fortified northern polish army out and you place something adjacent to Warsaw during the first turn. Rolls dependent but doable.
<QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>ORIGINAL: hellraiser1973<br/> <br/> <br/> 2. Sub nerfs - not really funny at all. Axis have only 2 options for resupply before the fall of france - Greenland (until the americans take over it) and Iceland (for even less ...
<t> Just ended the game, spring 43 - allies offered peace after the three important russian cities had fallen.<br/> <br/> After the FoW was lifted, I noticed the same issue as in previous patches: England was choke full of ground units but only 1-2 planes while the US mainland was stacked with ...
<t> Started a game vs Allied AI to get an ideea of the impact of the patch changes:<br/> <br/> 1. Bomber nerfs - yep you can feel them, especially early on. Once they get ground attack tech and some xp/and under a good HQ they are strong but obviously not as strong as before. You feel the nerfs in ...
<t> With the new 1.16 bomber nerfs I think it is even more difficult to get warsaw in turn 2 than in previous patches.<br/> <br/> As for an early french campaign - frankly I still fail to see too many benefits.<br/> Get Poland in turn 3, force march west and use the mpps (otherwise spent on ...
