Attrition damage visuals and sound but no unit within spotting range

Attrition damage visuals and sound but no unit within spotting range

So it is the AI's turn and suddenly I notice attrition popup msg, explosion and sound somewhere in the forests north of Rzhev. Seems several russian units went without supply and were hit with attrition losses.
Said russian units were outside of Axis spotting range that is why I thought to bring this to the attention of the developers.
