Re: Valor & Victory - New KO tournament open for sign-up

FYI - The join button is still active even though the tournament is full at 16 players. Maybe I missed it in the description, but it should state somewhere that the tournament closed with 16 players.

Re: DLCs and Battlefront redeem

Excited for this release and the DLC. Somewhere I still have the CD from the original release!

Coincidentally my anniversary coupon comes in April. This year I know what I am spending it on 8-)

Re: PIATS

Thanks for the reply. All targets were 2 or 1 hexes away, in the open on the street and I was firing from a building. No option to fire when putting the mouse over target. They sure would of helped :D

I haven't run any tests.

Curious. I have had kills and had AFV killed by PIATS 2 hexes away ...

Re: 2 inch mortar

Hi

Yes it happen in the game but in real world it doesn't happen. 2 inch caliber and even bigger mortars is far to small do any real damage on tanks or armored cars. This grenades is tiny and small and should be used against soft targets as they did in real.
Even to hit an open AFV moving is ...

Re: 2 inch mortar

I recently got a bailed out result on a tank from a mortar hit. That could mean anything even slight damage to important systems, like optics. Mortars could also immobilize AFV with a hit on the running gear or tracks.

Granted this should be a rare occurrence like a roll of 2 etc.

Hi

This would be a great feature. A rival but very similar game with the initials "LnL" has this feature. If you are emulating ASL this should be a no brainer.

Re: Tournament scoring

Since the previous replay was rather unhelpful, I will take a shot at it.

The logical answer would be based on the scoring system that is in the game based on the victory conditions. However, it does appear to be more granular than that. My guess would be a points for each victory hex plus points ...

I am confused by what you mean. Can you screen shot it?

I see either a play button or "waiting for opponent" on the MP menu.

We came to the same conclusion in my game. I would hope that during beta testing some enterprising Axis play testers did find a way to win this one!

I would be interested in hearing from players who won as the Axis side.

Re: In 1980, the US Army feared Russian tanks were invincible

Subsequent events have proven this analysis flawed. Not including the current Ukraine war, the T-72 has proven to be a paper tiger after a number of variants saw combat action. Could be a good question for The Chieftain though.

Remember also that the Army needed justification for the M1 and later ...

As we know the topic of the game coincides with the ongoing war in Ukraine. I was wondering are the developers planning to join charity bundles that provide financial assistance to Ukraine via game purchases? At minimum the developers could make a post on Steam that provides links to charities ...

Thanks for the responses! This was the first Slitherine/Matrix game that I have purchased in quite some time that was not available to install through steam. No worries I'll just install standalone for now. [8D]

Not 100% sure that Matrix keys work at Steam like that anymore, and if they do I think the game has to be on Steam to function. AB is not yet on Steam.

Just purchased the game and tried installing through Steam using my Slitherine/Matrix key however Steam returns an invalid key error. Has anyone installed successfully through Steam?
