is there a way to use dxvk to force it to render via gpu
How does any of that deserve a title of "This game is so bad" ?

Steam still shows game as running, but not in processes

Hello

Every time I close my game gracefully by exiting directly from the main menu, steam still shows that it is running. If I press "Stop" in my library, the game then shows "Stopping" but it does not show in my process list via task manager. The only fix I have found is to completely close out of ...

Re: Does the Caucasus oils matter at all?

There was a long thread about this a few months ago about how fuel for the axis player doesn't really matter as the axis never truly run out (there appears to be an engine limitation on that). Hence, going to caucasus just for oil is a bad idea unless you are going for VPs. It is more important to ...

Re: War in the East 2, A Newbie Struggle

There is definitely a lot more to this version of War in the East compared to the first. The panzer ball, headquarters build up made things fairly easy, once you figured it out.

Going to have learn how to pace better. HLYA had a very informative post on his Axis Turn 1 GC with Rovno pocket. I ...

Wow, as I'm in the exact same boat (pun intended) as the OP, I'm finding this is a very informative thread!
A related question: How good is the AI?
Thanks all.

Hey Homer - Since you're in the same boat as me, wanted to give you an FYI. If you're on Windows 10, you may need to adjust ...

Re: Good starting guides for new players

Hi everyone, thank you all for your feedback and guidance within this thread.

Another question I had was, how soon until I can start playing PBEM with other players? do I need to reach a certain level of proficiency? I am not competitive, but I do know the AI has its limitations (perhaps its ...

Good starting guides for new players

Hi all,

I have played quite a bit of Wite2 but looking to expand my wargaming experience and try my hand at WitP:AE. After watching some videos by Jochen and read a few AARs and have decided to pick up the game. Part of my learning process for these types of games is to 1. jump and start playing ...

I feel like my entire life has been a lie. What graph are you referring to re: "Minimum threshold"?
See the two screenshots I made above.

So is this an engine limitation then? I'm trying to understand why there would be such a thing as 'minimum' that is a non-zero integer.

Re: How to save fuel as the Axis

I am a little surprised with a few of the responses in this thread. Because the axis player has nearly zero control over oil/fuel production (outside of capturing hexes that have those oil facilities, that can then be repaired and brought up to production), the axis player is fundamentally ...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

to be honest the level 2 forts are a bit of a red herring. They are nice but they are not what will save you.

Its all about logistics, the key is to be able to rotate low TOE formations back to a depot to refit and back into the line. Now how long that takes depends on both how far you are from ...

I finally reached early december of my first play through after being satisfied with the 1941 offensive as the axis.. that is an interesting read

i wonder what is the real help from lvl bombers against fortifications in a game
as it seems to me that it is much more efficient just to bring arty to a fight and in most cases you will get fort lvl reduction even if you will not win a fight

And you'd save some ...
