VPaulus, Thank you for your reply. For what it's worth, after starting another game I realized that I didn't fat finger, but that the enemy had played a card to expend my unit.

I just got the PC version of Awakening the Bear. I immediately fat fingered my first unit into expired. Is there an undo button?
