Re: Quick Questions Thread

Hello everyone! Do you know why artillery supports are divided into 2 categories after a combat result?
Thanks :)

Re: a bug on an air group ?

Oops, Slovakia, sorry

The scenario is "1941 campaign - no early end" (with the new rules on sudden victory or loss conditions)
Version 1.04.01 at turn 1
Turn 78 on the screenshots above (patch 1.04.03_beta) :)

a bug on an air group ?

Hi everyone :)

I found a strange name for an AOG: 13./JG52

It seems that this is actually a slovenian air group?
Or am I not understanding something?
Is this a bug?
(V1.04.03_beta)
Thanks :)

Re: Gary Grigsby's War in the East 2 Morale Update

Thank you very much for those explanations!

At the end of March (with a blizzard near Leningrad), the Russians attacked again 2 or 3 times.
It's definitely not a bug in my game ;)

In the south, the russians no longer attack but fall back intelligently to form an effective line of defense near ...

Re: Gary Grigsby's War in the East 2 Morale Update

I played 2 German turns (2 weeks) following the first russian turn with "no attack". If the Russians do not react again after my actualy turn, it will be 3 weeks without russian attacks.

On their 2nd turn with no attack, they have complety retreated (3 to 4 hexes) in two sectors to reorganize their ...

Re: Gary Grigsby's War in the East 2 Morale Update

Hi!
Thank you for this awesome patch :)

I play a 1941 no early end german campaign actually (started with 1.03.10_beta and now 1.03.11), and I was surprised yesterday to see the Russians stop their "reaction and front attacks" since march 8 1942 ? (after the last blizzard I think)
Not a single ...

Re: New v1.03.09 Public Beta Now Available!

With all the tank classification changes and new OB it may now be an option to remove the foreign light tanks from the light tank's substitution list.
From my point ov view, it's a good idea!

Maybe I'm wrong, but in a previous patch, Amphibious HQs shouldn't be removed or disband if they end one ...

Re: New v1.03.09 Public Beta Now Available!

I found when it happened !
This change in tank model was made apparently without reason?

1 - Sept 14th: 7th panzer division with about 150 Panzer 38(t)

2 - Sept 21th: no combat, no losses. Only move the division one hex 216-127 to 216-128 to encircle some infantry units. And the division replaced ...

Re: New v1.03.09 Public Beta Now Available!

No disband in support units. That's why I think it's a strange swap in this division.
The only thing non-historical I did in the TBs (who could have change something?) was send the 5th panzer division in Afrika 3 weeks before his arrival in map.
If you want, I can try to find when it happened, I ...

Re: New v1.03.09 Public Beta Now Available!

Hi!
I don't know if this is the patch? I play this campaign with the v1.03.09_beta (turn 19)

I have a french panzer division in Russia :o :P
About 140 panzerkampfwagen 39H 735(f) (Hotchkiss I think)

On the other hand, I don't know if historically it was possible to have so many franch tanks in ...

Re: War in the East 2 – Steel Inferno Out now

Hi!
And thank you for this great game! I agree, not including the Finns in the 1941 grand campaign (and the attack on Murmansk "Operation Silver Fox") is a small regret for me. But I bought Steel Inferno for the support and for the interesting scenarios in Yugoslavia and Balkans!
Thank you for all ...

Re: Strange microclimate

The key is what version you started the game with. Since you are 2 years into the war, I assume you started a long time ago.
Yes, this is right.
Thanks for the explanation :)

Strange microclimate

Hi,

there is a strange hex in my game with a strange microclimate :o

This is the hex 301,160, near Astrakhan, with heavy snow (9) and blilzzard.
One thing I noticed is that around there is an "arid steppes" climate, and in the hex 301,160, climate is "none".

I played with windows 11 and with the ...
