Re: Thoughts on Bathymetry Layer Contour Levels

How many submarines in command have max depths below 600m? How many naval mines can be laid below 600m?

My first pass would be:
However many levels you have, use that from 0 to 600m in evenly split bands. Then one color for everything deeper than 600m.

Also, I'm not an expert at the thermal ...

Re: Thoughts on the Command AI and scenario design

Great string, thanks!

Only things I'd add:

You can chain missions together with conditional logic in Lua and now the editor interfaces. My experience is mostly with the former. I wouldn't go into reading the tea leaves and designing your matrix too far in the future but enough to make things ...

Re: Ballistic Version of Rampage has no Guidance

This is a GPS/INS weapons so its not homing on the target but the targets coordinates. The behavior is correct. I haven't seen any reference mention IIR and it doesn't look like its IIR. Elbit doesn't mention IIR. Google Gemini does but the sources is somewhat murky.

Re: Ballistic Version of Rampage has no Guidance

In the description it is said that:

In the terminal phase, the missile uses an imaging infrared seeker. It also has a two-way datalink, allowing it to provide preliminary BDA.

The infrared seeker apparently is missing.

The installer isn't recognizing I have command installed.

Verified files. It did find some unverified and redownloaded them.I tried the installer again and same issue.

I'll wait and see what shakes out before I spend the time to reinstall everything

[Build 1706] Unfollow the Leader

Hi
Aircraft seem to be twirling at flight plan waypoints. Each aircraft points at a different destination waypoint. I was asked, but there might be more things to look at in this string.

Re: Quadcopter with Grenade missed target for 500ft

Hi
I close to the target as close as possible with the quadcopter (30-100ft). I see misses between 25ft and 500ft. Actually if you close a target to 50ft how can i misss it then for 500ft? Is this realistic? Should the range of misses not decrease as you get closer to the target?

Should the ...

Re: [1706] Some conclusions on strike behavior

I agreed that strike missions do not work well for multiple targets. I have no issue with that. This test was specifically on a single target with a flight of 4. The issue that I try to understand is under what circumstances some a/cs will not drop all their payload and why.

Here's something to ...

Re: Chains of War Scenario # 4 Salvo issues

Interesting, I tried the ASAT tip and it seemed to work in a couple cases. I guess the idea is that you have to manually mark a satellite beforehand so that the missiles can eventually get a lock-on?

Yeah may be the best move or assign it to a strike mission with fairly loose WRA. It's very hard ...

Re: Questions about platoons

As I understand it, the size of platoons can vary greatly, but tend to be about 30-50 people. But a lot of the platoons in Command are only 12 or 16 people. Most platoons aren't this small (and I don't think there are many squads or sections that go up to 16 people). And some platoons are larger ...

Might be able to use Lua to create limited-duration low-visibility environmental zones. Haven't tested, and it is extra work.

Does the pro version have concealment smoke, if you know? That may give some sort of idea as to how far away it is from the game version.
