Re: Targeting Fuel Facilities

I'm overjoyed that he's reading....the manual. 8-)

If this really bugs you-use lua to disable the airbase and then enable it. You could delete or damage the taxiways, runway or taxiway. If lua isn't your jam you could go into the editor and do the same.

Re: Drones, and their usage on destroyers and frigates

Some require a catapult/launcher mount. If you add the UAV the application will add the mount. If not you can also add it from the air facilities window.

There are a couple that aren't able to be hosted by smaller ships due to a bug. V-Bat was one of them. They seemed to id the issue end expect it ...

Re: Trump battleship

The concept seems no different than other "big ship" proposals in the past. I find it amusing someone mentioned power. The Iowa class displaced 45k tons and we had no issues powering that without a nuke plant.

This is not an Iowa. Iowa didn't have to power SEWIP, SPY Radars and recharge lasers ...

Re: Trump battleship

This doesn't look that serious yet, even the drawing seems like a hastily put together AI slop image. Pessimistic side says this is vanity project. Optimistic side is this is a way get shipbuilding going again in the US (although they mentioned a Korean company..hehe).

Ok entertaining this a bit ...

Re: Video using CMO for Venezuela vs US scenario

The CMO sensor model is definitely optimistic on the sensor side even with realistic terrain. It is fair to point that out. At the same time I haven't really taken up testing and putting in posts to tune it. I have posted one or two tickets but can't make it a hobby at this point. I suspect its the ...

Re: THEY ARE RETIRING THE A-10S!!!

Ha! Yeah, they've been on and off the block for years.

Anybody remember the 90's game A-10 Tank Killer? Really great game for its time and the graphics were far superior than many games. Also gained a lot respect for the SA-8.

Thanks for the code, it works.

However it did not recover my luggage.

And did not recover my family either, that was also lost in Trapani (saboteurs, infantry sections and forward observers) :)

Pretty sure there was a Tom Hanks movie about that. Not the one he's talking Wilson the ...

So you're saying Trapani would never lose your luggage! That's a bold claim my friend.

Re: Sprint and Drift for Surface Groups

Why is Sprint & Drift implemented at individual unit level only and not at group levels? If would make much sense for CVBG to move in this manner imo

The escorts sprint and drift so they can use their towed arrays. So they sprint ahead then drift listening.

If you want the group to sprint and ...

Re: Ship's Offensive ECM Button

You can certainly jam search radars. Radar band and search band need be the same.

The calculations show it'll try and spoof the active seeker. Also if the weapons has a secondary seeker type (passive, home on jam etc). Then jamming one doesn't necessarily help.

If you have comms jammer and there ...

Re: [1776] Hitting GBUs with Iglas

Agree that by default MANPAD vs. weapon is optimistic but here's a couple of points to assess on this one.

Higher end MANPADS and upgraded older systems have multispectral seekers and sights on their launchers. Some have the ability to gate out flare decoys.
The older systems that are around are ...

Build 1776: Strike Mission Opportunity Scrambling strike focus ROE

Hi All

Stay with me on this one. I created a strike mission on a runway in an airbase group. Went with default settings and they didn't drop on runway but the control tower and terminal building (Earl of Sandwich had it coming). So long story short I didn't have the strike member focus set to focus ...

Re: B1776 - WeaponType 4012 in DBViewer

Weapons type 4012 is a multistage missile, which may not mean much if they modelled it that way. I don't think I've seen weapons type field in the db viewer using the actual type name instead of its text name.

It has an 80 Poh but normal depth charges have a 99% in game. I'd raise it as there is ...

Build 1776: Aircraft spinning around target with all weapons expended

Hi All

I've got aircraft circling around a target despite expending their ordinance. Seems very specific to GBU-31[B-109] as I tried with GBU-32 and the aircraft correctly egressed. One thing I did notice that in the group's unit screen you can see that [5]weapons are allocated, except there were ...
