It has had improvements over the years, applied to all games, but there isn't a new AI as such. I assume the opening poster is simply playing using the latest patch, and comparing it to a previous version.

You can experiment and see but from my experience it's about 2-3 months to get back to "full strength."

Would like to hear from EarlyDoors but looks like he hasn't been around since March. At some point we'll need to start a new ladder or figure out how to update the current one. With any new system, we should have at least 3 people who can maintain.
