I managed to resolve the issue, though it annoyingly involved me having to do a complete uninstallation and subsequent reinstallation of the whole game. Nevertheless, my prior comment can be ignored now.

You can convert the TOAW III scenario to TOAW4. All you have to do is run it through the TOAW4 editor and save it, then you can load it in TOAW4. I've done so with various scenarios.

Converted another one. This one seems to be a hypothetical US invasion of Iran. Iran is supported by Russia. The 'wrong .eqp file' thing occured, just to let you know, if that matters at all. Comments, as usual, are appreciated.

Another converted scenario arrives. This one is about the US invasion of Okinawa in 1945. The 'wrong .eqp file' message showed up again, as it seems to often do when converting these scenarios. Seems alright though.

Another converted scenario. This one details the Japanese advance on Beijing early on in the Second Sino-Japanese War. The missing .eqp thing happened upon initial conversion again.
