Re: Shoot down attack drones using AAA without radar (tracking, search) // v1.09.1817-1825.11

Next to the chance a system has against a guided weapon, another contributer to the realism is the Weapon Release Authority.

Maybe a ZPU-23 or a SA-6 GAINFUL has a very small PH to hit a Mk-84, I also like to be able to withold the ZPU or the SA-6 to fire at something like this. Maybe I disagree ...

Re: T-90 classification of a F-35

One degree vision is 17.77 meters high @ 1.000 meters distance. (6400 mill / 360 degrees).
Than, 16 Degrees vision is 285 meters high @ 1.000 meters
So at 9.5 Nm distance (17.6 km) the max alt a T-90 tank vision device can see is 17x285= 5.016 meters = 16.051 feet.

That is the half the range of ...

Game crashes when selecting Steam Workshop

Playing v1.09 Beta - Build 1776

When I select Edit Scenario or Start New Game and select load scenario/Steam Workshop the game will crash and return to Steam.
Saved Games and the Main Scenario folder work as advertised. And are still accessible.

The folder location has not changed and is still ...

Re: Who can explain these radar detection ranges?

Of course, this would make sense, with the powerfull radar of the F-15 vs. the old F-4 radar.

Who can explain these radar detection ranges?

These should be radar detection ranges of a MiG-23MLD according to the poster on bksy. It is possible that it is something else (another radar) because the MiG-23MLD radar will not see even a large bomber at almost 100 km.
As comparison this is the MiG-23MLD performance in CMO:

Re: Drones, and their usage on destroyers and frigates

A while ago I read something about the V-Bat on Dutch naval ships.

They will perform surveillance tasks (10hrs max flighttime) and have three aircraft aboard with only acreww of two persons on board to operate the V-BAT. They onlyt have to attach the wings on the A/C and bring it from the hangar to ...

Re: THEY ARE RETIRING THE A-10S!!!

In CMO the A-10 will see the drone, but how will a cueing of a Saab be presented to a A-10 pilot in a dark night without a radar with only NVG's in real life?
Those drones don't have navigation lights...
And what will the A-10 windscreen look like when you BRRRRT a explosive drone... at short range ...

This video gives a very good perspective how long you can possibly see the bombs.
Within 3 seconds they are invisible.
