Re: US bases

Would you be helped by this?

I made some for the cold war 1989.=. They are single airfield only to save on the amount of units. The runways are supposed to be oriented towards the right direction.

Re: What info would a sub actually know?

I think you looked (again) too fast...

If you select the side shooter (as is the case in the screensot below), you don't see the P-18 which is present and active just as you presented it.
And yes you are very obvious... ;)
Thanks for sharing your setup.

Re: What info would a sub actually know?

My point was that in your setup (as decribed below) I got no speed and altitude from the target. It was displayed as XX.
See the comparison (3rd image).
So I tried to find the reason and did not find it.

Re: What info would a sub actually know?

As a sum up:

You deleted the P-18 Spoon Rest radar out of the SA-2 Guideline sensors

You attached the Spoon Rest radar to another side: "EYES"

Interesting results!
I also placed a standard CMO SA-2 Guideline facility (with only the Spoon Rest operating) in ...

Russian airfields overview

Somebody pointed me towards an old "X" post from january where a group of guys checked all the Russian airfields on Google Earth and which aircraft where present.
Yes there are a lot of things you can say about which aircraft is operational or not, see at als a nice jumpstart!

Maybe nice for ...

Very interesting thewood1

Would you be able to share an example maybe? That would help to get an idea which events you would have to make.

Interesting
This is the reply from ChatGTP:

Detection is possible in principle if the IR sensor has very high sensitivity and favorable conditions (clear skies, missile not masked by terrain or sea clutter).
In practice, detecting low-observable cruise missiles from space is extremely challenging ...

Re: Bug or WAD? - F-35, SPEAR and EMCON

The AIM-9X is launched at a distance of 16Nm. That is further than the assessed (AI) range of 10 Nm for the block-1. Therefore it needs guidance and it is called Lock On After Launch (LOAL).

This is an explaination of AI:
The AIM-9X LOAL capability, meaning Lock-On After Launch, is a feature of ...

Nice of you to share it!

If it is a scenario there is this location to go after:

No room in the nose for guidance like a radar and no optics visible.

Re: Updated DB image & description packs are available!

In my DB image folder I miss a lot of sensors since it upgraded to .webp format.
Is this correct? If yes I can provide some sensor images.

Re: Naval and Defense News

There is discussion in the tread about the number of J-20 aircraft, reaching from 195-230-300 is arbitrary.

But this is a nice template where the aircraft are based:
