Re: Windows 10 - anybody playing on this yet?

That's what I did. After the installer was finished there was no icon on the desktop or the start screen.I tried to download it again but it told me the serial number was incorrect.

So you tried to install after downloading the file shown below from your member's page, correct? Do you still ...

Re: Windows 10 - anybody playing on this yet?

I bought TOAW3 from Matrix years ago. I've moved and changed computers a lot since then and lost it. I discovered I could download it from my Matrix member's page.I have Win 10 now. The installation ran with no problems, but I can't find how to start it. No icon on the homepage, not in the start ...

Re: Air strikes against bridges don't work

I don' about know about Tex (the op) but I'm about to be running some scenarios where bridge strikes are key. I remembered having to puzzle this out years ago but I did not recall what the issue was. Your post was timely for me. You almost certainly saved me some time puzzling over this.

Re: Air strikes against bridges don't work

I just started playing TOAW 3 again for the first time in years. I started by playing the Germany 84 scenario which is one of my favorites from back in the day. I know I can do air strikes against bridges. But for some reason when I try to do that, I selected a unit, say F-111 well within range ...

What is the altitude ceiling for AA guns ? It's probably listed someplace, but I can't seem to find it? Perhaps it's a generic altitude that is listed someplace.

Thanks in advance.

Well to put it simply, 0.000164579 nautical miles is equal to 1 foot. So, if an AA capable gun says the range is ...

Re: CMO v1.05 Update - Build 1307.8

The new Open Topo map is absolutely brilliant, makes it so easier now to very accurately position things. I can now locate a persons house, or work etc who I have a dislike too, make it a target and carpet bomb it with a B-52 strike just for a bit of satisfaction.

You do this too? It's nice to ...

Re: [Fixed] Raid on Kismayo broken on CMO?

The problem with fuel consumption is solved with DB version 499. However the scenario is not officially migrated to this DB version. You need to update the scenario to the latest DB version with the migration tool in editor mode.

BTW.: Do not play and save the scenario in editor mode for ...

Re: Raid on Kismayo 2013

It's broken in version 1.5 (build 1307.5). I destroyed all enemy units except the safe house and unloaded the landed detachments near it, but nothing happened (I tried it several times). I also think that the special action "Perform Search and Rescue" doesn't work.

Same result here, got a score ...

"Just moving a few reference point." ....
Okay. Moving four reference points takes at least 4 times as long as moving an area. And using only 4 reference points to define an area -- or patrol route -- is quite minimal. And don't tell me you accurately select reference points to move them every ...

Re: The Formation Editor - Or Lack Thereof

To the OP; if you come around and just you want it to be like Harpoon after 5-6 days of playing, expect some push back. If you have actually played it enough to get a feel for the differences, you'll get a little more support for changes. Otherwise, you are just exposing your lack of willingness ...

Re: The Formation Editor - Or Lack Thereof

Rather than be dismissive and tell me to "go play Harpoon" or "play more CMO," people could explain what I'm misunderstanding about the formation editor in CMO and how to use it.
Is there a way to assign a zone to a formation station? Is there a way to move an entire zone at once? Is there a way ...

Re: The Formation Editor - Or Lack Thereof

I'm rather surprised how basic formations are in CMO. Fairly flexible, but a PITA to use.
Who remembers Harpoon III's formation editor? IMO that's the bar to shoot for.
Defined arcs at defined distances, and it's super easy to drag a patrol zone to a different place. ALSO it has threat axises, a ...

Not sure if this is exactly relevant to this particular discussion but when running a quick battle BVR engagement in 1995 with F-14D's against MIG-31's the Tomcats seem to get their ass handed to them. My question is, is it normal that a Phoenix missile has 7 seconds of fuel versus the AA-9 which ...

1. Do the scan angle limitations affect space-, ground-, and sea-based radars in addition to aircraft radars?
