Re: The Korean Missile Crisis 2017

Did your F-22 fire on a Russian weapon with its cannons? That can be a bit of a problem in this scenario.

Re: Raven 21 is down

There are a lot of scripting shenanigans here. It's best to ignore the cargo features and just get cargo units as close to the designated drop-off points as possible.

"Raven 21 is Down" bug in USMC arrival script

I've decided to give "Raven 21 is Down" a try recently and found a bug in the US_USMCReachesCrashSite script. Specifically in line 4.
local theUnit = ScenEdit_UnitX()

if theUnit.dbid == 1346 or theUnit.dbid == 1696 then
local theMessage GenerateRadioMessageBody(

Re: This might be a bit of an oversight...

I checked, it's part of the UK victory event and I first noticed it when playtesting the entire scenario. It popped up while I was cluster-bombing Rio Grande airport.

Yeah... apparently the scenario creator for Operation Mikado forgot to create a message for the victory conditions. Is anyone else seeing this on their installation?

Call for Fire: Units are firing on hostile targets without explicit orders

I'm running into a bit of an issue with the "Call for Fire" scenario due to the fact that units on both sides are firing at hostile contacts without my explicit orders. While there is a bit of an issue of friendly recon infantry and artillery firing on just about everything in sight, the real ...

Re: Chains of War | Air Sea Battle

Personally, I made extensive use of the Long-Range Strategic Strike Group and a lot of tankers to clear the air over the Spratly Islands by Day 1 and Woody Island by Day 2. I also find your pro-active approach to taking out submarines to be rather interesting.

Interesting stuff. I do wonder how Canberra is going to deal with all the submarines you sent her through.

Re: Pyrpolitis 2014

I have done this one before and I found that attriting the initial fighting sorties by baiting them away with one fighter and tailing them with an entire four or three-plane flight at low altitude with radars off to hit them in the ass with heaters to be a great strategy for preparing for the strike ...

You do realize that glide bombs can be pretty effective against older SAMs, right?

Re: Falklands 6 - Wolf Pack 8/5/82

Way I did it, I armed all of my helicopters for ASW Patrol with the Quick Turnarounds on at the very beginning and micromanaged them to go home immediately once they ran out of sonobuoys. I was able to get two of the Argentine submarines that way.

Re: CMO RUNNING POLL - Gameplay feature requests

If I may make a request: giving an option to alter sonobuoy spacing on ASW Patrol missions. One big problem with ASW Patrol missions is that sometimes, the default spacing doesn't really take into account the capabilities of the sonobuoys in question. I would love to be able to tighten up the ...

Re: Kashmir Fire has the wrong munitions for the Tejas

Just an update: I recently installed the beta version on Steam and noticed that the Flaming Dragon scenario still has this problem with the Tejas's at Srinagar and Naliya.

You shouldn't be using the beta update anymore.

And unless you're looking at something else or I missed something, the ...

Praying Mantis inevitably leads to a Soviet intervention

Alright, I'll say it where it needs to be said. There is a pretty significant issue with the Praying Mantis scenario in that any aggression against the Iranians will cause the Soviets to declare the US hostile.This is most definitely not historical in any way and while I would ask to see this fixed ...

Posledniy Otschot, 1944

I haven't been very fond of this scenario but I recently decided to check it out after hearing that it got updated. The SITREP is that a Soviet Task Force centered around the Aviation Cruiser Volgograd has somehow ended up in the Barents Sea smack dab in the middle of June, 1944. The commanding ...

Re: Bulding a "Sink the Moskva" scenario and need help

Well... the entire purpose of this scenario is to explore whether or not the Ukrainians could actually see enough of the Moskva's poor state of functionality to expect this outcome. Turns out they didn't need to. The Moskva could have easily been knocked out of action for a while even without any of ...
