Changing Hex Scale to other than Kilometers

Is there a way to change the hex-scale to something other than kilometers in the scenario editor?

It appears to be quite limited for a lot of engagements that some would want to design.

Hello...

I am tinkering with designing a new scenario and I began by working with the map editor in The Operational Art of War.

When attempting to save a new map only, the program does not save anything at all.

Any idea as to why this is happening?
