RE: Defenders not defending

<t> I noticed this issue in the "Port Haucurt" user-made scenario. This involves two LCS (armed with Hellfire/RAM/Bushmaster) in an extraction mission on the Niger Delta.<br/>
<br/>
When multiple "vampires" were detected as inbound (with Air doctrine set to Weapons Tight), the RAMs were not fired ...

RE: Lag during startup/when attempting to open scenario list

I returned the game on Steam and got a refund; it overall seems to have various UI/functionality issues that make it hardly worth the price.

I will gladly be proven wrong at a later date, however will for now stick with CMANO.

[Logged] Lag during startup/when attempting to open scenario list

Hello,

I am experiencing significant lag while playing, both on startup and during any attempts to open the "Community Scenario" or "Standalone Scenario" lists. Is this a known issue, or could it be something on my end?

RE: Attempting to reinstall SoW Gettysburg

Hello,

I am unable to access my purchase receipt, as I purchased this game as a Guest (not using my Matrix account). Would it be possible to retrieve the record of this order?

Attempting to reinstall SoW Gettysburg

<t> Hello,<br/>
<br/>
I recently uninstalled Scourge of War in order to resolve several potential bugs from a corrupted installation. However, I do not have the corresponding serial number (issued upon purchase) needed to activate the installation process.<br/>
<br/>
Would I be able to retrieve ...

Out of curiosity, what was causing the bug?

[FIXED] Anomalous SRAM Behavior in BOL mode

<t> The AGM-69 SRAM appears to be unable to function properly in the BOL mode. I have attached a save-file from the scenario "The 4th of July, 1989", in which several SRAMs have been launched in BOL. As can be seen from the save, the missiles continuously orbit their target points at max altitude ...

RE: Manual override for weapons release

I had completely forgotten that feature, thank you for reminding me :)

I suppose this goes into the same category as my forgetting to set nuclear release to “granted” and wondering why my ICBMs wouldn’t launch when set to “Weapons Free”.

Manual override for weapons release

<t> Is there an option for a “manual override” of all weapons restrictions for a given munition (that is, being able to fire a torpedo/missile/bomb regardless of excessive target ambiguity/altitude/etc.)? I was playing through a scenario involving a Skhval (nuclear variant), and was not able to fire ...

Carrier Killer: Inefficient positioning of CG/DDG units

<t> In the "Carrier Killer" mission, the two CVs (America and Forrestal) to be targeted by the Oscar I (player-controlled) are left largely unprotected along the lines of approach of the Shipwrecks. The Ticonderoga CGs and Spruance DDGs are noticeably out of position to intercept an attack from that ...

RE: "Warning shots" functionality in CMANO?

<t> I was recently playing through a scenario involving an LCS squadron in the Persian Gulf, and ran into an … interesting … situation in which an IRGC speedboat closed to within 20 yards of my vessels. The instant I ordered it targeted with a single round, every missile boat in the vicinity fired ...

"Warning shots" functionality in CMANO?

<t> Would it be possible to implement an option for the use of warning shots/"shot across the bow" as distinct from standard engagement orders? Currently, this aspect is not modelled in Command; this leads to situations in which warning shots would normally be used in real life, but for which doing ...

RE: RUNNING POLL - gameplay features

<r> I would very much appreciate the addition of two features at some point, if possible:<br/>
<br/>
1. Realistic order lag; that is, units would have a delay in each phase of the "transmit orders" - "receive orders" - "carry out orders" process. This is already in the game in the form of the OODA ...

RE: Avoiding instantaneous control of/communication with submarines

To the extent you can answer (obviously without involving sensitive/classified information): what are the main limitations of CMANO that you perceive regarding submarines/ASW, and what could be introduced to reduce their effects?

RE: Avoiding instantaneous control of/communication with submarines

<t> It seems to me (and I could very well be wrong) that the majority of currently existing communications methods between submarines and other units are focused on transmitting information/orders *to* the submarine, rather than receiving contact information; that is, submarines are often forced to ...

RE: Avoiding instantaneous control of/communication with submarines

<t> I was thinking of something along the lines of the NOCOMM feature; that is, setting up a selectable option to implement a communications loss whenever submarines drop below a certain depth. Scenario designers could choose to either include or ignore this feature, depending on their goals. <br ...

Avoiding instantaneous control of/communication with submarines

<t> I have noticed that the majority of scenarios (including LIVE/DLCs) involve submarine units behaving as if they are in constant communication with the surface/air. This is obviously not what occurs in real life; as the Silent Service DLC illustrates, various methods of communication are required ...
