I’m fooling around playing Japan against the AI & thus watching AI -v- AI in the west. I was surprised to see the Afrika Korps deploy directly into Libya. In my own axis games they have always deployed in Italy. Can anyone explain how the AI pulled off this useful coup?

Old_Shane (axis) -v- wevilc a win for the Axis. I made it to 1945 this time & surrendered Italy but by the end the Japs & the Nazis were rampant. Suffered an irreversible disaster in the Pacific. Many notes to self from this one.

I will when I play mostly have 2-3, but the ideal is only to play one. Especially when playing TRP mod, as turns get time consuming in 41 and onwards.

If you want to win as Allies, you must keep the USSR in the game.

The way to do that is build as many units as possible and retreat, do not be concerned with losing capitals.

Use the UK and USA to help build minimum corps size units, preserve those units and USSR will never surrender ...

I mean, most games played simultaneously. I find I can manage 2. When my son condescended to play me it was 3. 2 is good though. Shout out to Redmonkey & Old_ Shane for the free lessons, painful but fun.

two tips:
learn to link HQs for better supply (if you are not aware of this yet)
strategic bombers are the most powerful unit for the allies. you must que them for US before they enter war to get at least 3, UK has 2 more. thats 10 attacks each turn to kill axis supply in the region you invade. or ...

Yes - it's always been there.

Go into the Convoy Map. Click on the source - eg India. You'll see the percentage of national income that is being shipped. This can be adjusted using the up & down arrows.

USA convoys to the UK and UK convoys to the USSR can be adjusted in a similar way.

Browsing the Strategy Guide I came across the suggestion that India might want to halt the flow of MPPs to GB & use them for itself. Is this actually possible? Is there a function that lets you adjust foreign aid? Does it apply only to India or to all convoy routes? If so, where is it? Sounds too ...
