One of the issues is that I haven't touched the game since release. But I had used it enough to remember, and I have a good memory. As far as I recall, the morale gain was 1 point consistently, and this is why was surprised that now I was receiving so often 2 or 3 ...

I guess that the operational loss occurs before the fight.

Nevertheless, the display is unsastisfying. I have the saves if needed.

My Soviet units gain more than one morale point after combat.

These are my game settings

Soviet morale is 100, thus morale gain should logically be 1.
If you are interested, I will try to generate a repetable save.

I assume that classification as Motorized would be more relevant than classification as Infantry. I guess that unit symbol would follow classification.

Playing June 13th version.
Voronezh front units are marked as frozen for four turns.

They randomly unfreeze on turn two.
