I assume that this bug is known.

I guess that the operational loss occurs before the fight.

Nevertheless, the display is unsastisfying. I have the saves if needed.

I recall seeing this kind of thing in the past, but don't remember what the explanation was. Maybe it had to do with AS missions, or maybe as you say op losses that happen before the a/c fly, but at this point it's one of those oddities in the combat display that we're not going to be able to pin down.
