Re: Not a bad turn at all.

Excellent advice all around! Thank you.
Would be lovely to see some sort of Torpedo targeting filter option added somewhere to avoid instances of over-eager sub captains and bombers dropping all their torps on tiny fishing boats and pleasure craft :D

Re: Fighting off the raving Fascists, Monarchists, and Religious fanatics!

But the important thing is to capture as many enemy bases that produce resources and supplies, it may not help in the short term but it will help in the long term. I also cut Burgos off from Ferrol and Vigo so supplies from there weren't making it to Burgos. I also never let SW Spain link up with ...

Re: GC Republican AAR

Just wanted to post a quick 'thanks!' for writing up this AAR. As a "War in X" newbie - it's great to see your opening moves, and honest assessment as to what you think is going well and where you may have messed up! Definitely want to get a GC as the Republicans started myself soon.

And thanks to ...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

Is there a good place to learn more about optimal aircraft orders?

In the tutorial scenario for example - We have this very fine Vildebeest!
By default it's naval saerch mission is set at 15k Cruise Alt and 15k Release altitude.

It strikes me that 15k is probably ...

Re: Beginners guide

Honestly, I appreciate anyone trying to deliver tutorial content at this early stage in the game.

I haven't played WITP:AE so I feel a bit behind on even the basics so seing him just dive in and create task forces and play with aircraft etc, was super helpful. I was fairly disappointed/frustrated ...

RE: What does radiation poisoning do?

<r> Don't have first-hand experience as I haven't had a radiated planet yet, but from the manual:<br/>

<QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>Radiation is a real danger for your Populace. For each Radiation Level they’ll suffer a Happiness Point loss and above level 3 your Populace will suffer casualties due to ...
