RE: Ottoman Surrender

<r> The message popped up? It does not seem like your NM dipped at all though. I circled the period there the Ottomans surrendered. AH did not seem to be affected either<br/>

Ottoman Surrender

Hello,

The Ottomans surrendered via armistice in my game, but there appears to be no hit to either German or AH national morale. Is this working as intended?

Game ended:

Fafnir (Axis) beats ThisEndUp (Allies)

Sealion has destroyed both the British and player's morale. Excellent play by Fafnir. I am taking lots of notes.

Looking for an experienced opponent

Willing to play either side.

Rules are:
-No major diplo
-No invasion of the USSR before 1941
-No pulling Italy into the war earlier than normal through the missing Med garrison/ naval or amphibious buildup triggers. Direct declaration of war is allowed.

RE: [ELO House Rule needed] Spying & Intelligence needs to go

I agree that tech breakthrough is way too strong for something that is purely RNG. Having no agency over something so game-changing is neither fun nor fair.

RE: Reasoning behind HQ and Mobility Upgrade Costs

My impression is that it's an attempt to model the difficulty the Germans had with motorising their army. Lack or rubber, lack of oil, etc. etc. It was definitely much easier for the Allies to motorise an equivalent division due to access to several key resources.

RE: Updated rankings as at 18 Jan 2021

<t> Gotta say, that resignation surprised me. You were in a good position to take out Spain; Vichy was neutral and you controlled the corridor at Aquitane. Without reinforcements, Franco would have gone down quickly. My other units were all busy elsewhere trying to deal with the other naval ...

<t> Ahh I forgot about those. Do you mind if we included the naval and amphibious invasion trigger points too?<br/>
<br/>
EarlyDoors- yes it's been used by a few to avoid the USA mobilisation penalty. It feels like an unwelcome workaround. Some penalty should be inflicted for bringing forwards an ...

Hello Migace,

Could I take the axis? Set it up and I'll hop on.

Just to clarify the rules are:
1. No major diplomacy
2. Allies cannot vacate Italian trigger points in the med

Did I miss anything?

RE: Entente Declaring War on the Netherlands?

<r> Here is the starting deployment. I do not think that it is randomised. <br/>
<br/>
Tough nut to crack from the south, especially since major rivers give a +1 movement penalty and severe combat penalty as well. If you are already at the Rhine in Germany proper and have infantry weapons 1, it ...

RE: AH Ceding Trento and Trieste?

<t> How useful was the CP naval power in the Med? I can only think of shutting down the convoy lines from Egypt, Greece, and to Serbia. That's roughly 50 MPPs per turn for the UK from what I remember. Maybe naval invasions into Egypt? Can't be easy to pull off against someone who is expecting it ...

RE: Entente Declaring War on the Netherlands?

<t> It heavily depends on how confident you are of taking out the dutch. They sit behind a major river, and there are quite a few corps available to them. If you succeed in forcing a surrender in 2-3 turns, it might be worth the NM hit to have a bridgehead across the Rhine and deny the Germans their ...
