Hi thanks for replying. Turns out the Ikkuro have a substitute tech called Splinter Pods but I wasn't getting it.

In fact the problem was a mod, Tech Tool Tips, that blocked racial techs from DLC races.

It was also incompatible with XL mod which I like to use.

I'm doing a playthrough as Ikkuro (using XL mod) and found out that they can't research Ship Boarding/Assault Pad because of racial restriction, which means they can't research Troop Transports.

Is there a way around this? I want to be able to use dropships to assault enemy stations and/or planets ...

I think you need to put an underscore before the folder name for it to register as a campaign, like this: _1913 Campaign.

Plus you need to make sure there is a .cgn file with the same name (this is something you can create/edit using the editor app)

Many thanks Hubert that indeed works and I'm looking forward to playing the mods. Suggest if possible that the upload from Steam be made more obvious or maybe even automatic - I couldn't see it in the Community Hub.
