Installing Mods

Hi, I have strategic command WWI: War in Europe installed. I downloaded a mods package from Steam and when I try to install it says that I don't have Strategic Command installed...which of course I do. Does it matter if the game came from steam and not matrix?

Yes it does, but with your Matrix game, you can download a version of it via Steam with the provided Steam key, accessible from your Members area in Matrix.

Should work after that if applying it to your Steam version of the game when downloading a Steam mod etc.

I have exactly the same issue, that is I have a Steam version of the game and the Matrix installer for the Community Pack doesn't recognize the game as installed.

Your reply above would apply to exactly the opposite situation, i.e. a Matrix-bought game with Steam mods.

Is there a solution to the problem as stated?

Hi HootsMaguire,

With the Steam version you should be able to install the community pack directly from Steam, no need to use the Matrix version of the same pack.

Many thanks Hubert that indeed works and I'm looking forward to playing the mods. Suggest if possible that the upload from Steam be made more obvious or maybe even automatic - I couldn't see it in the Community Hub.
