Is there any strategy for keeping OHQ commanders alive besides personal combat?

Does the armor of the OHQ assigned units make a difference?

Is there any reason why you end up with tech epochs, crisis of passion, fanaticism, etc?


Are they unique for each player?

Does emigration or workers tax the logistics network, if so is it the same weight as recruits?

When I buy the cheapest infantry OHQ formation, I get like 10 stacks of infantry, one of them being OHQ. Are you saying I could assign a tank like the rommulus to this OHQ stack?

I've found independent troop creation to be more useful in most regards, especially early on, so is there any way to assign OHQ commanders to individual troops or to generate them without the need for a full formation with non-OHQ commanders.

I have a screenshot of this logistical issue as early as turn 9, on a new game of the beta 17 patch, but unable to post it due to this being a newly createda count, is there any admin that can post it for me?
