But I thought I had seen it working. I seem to remember the actual movement cost of mixed units rising when I added heavier artillery.

Its easy enough to check (with a save game). But a screenshot of the unit moving would clear up any doubt too.

[1.0-1.26j3] Towed guns *still* have no move penalty

105mm gun with model -31% move penalty and 300mm gun with -71% penalty have same AP cost when being towed by a +0 modifier truck.

The 1.25 manual indicates this behavior is incorrect.

It already has kind of mod support, depending on what level of WH40kization you are trying to achieve... But of course it would benefit from opening the source code so modders can have full access.

Heh, thats what being away from Shadow Empire for half a year and super tired does to a fibol. I thought to remember it was a 60% rebate originally. Overall I think these are pretty good changes that make the game more enjoyable and realistic/immersive at the same time, so a huge thank you for this mod! I especially like the increased lethality of artillery (which is currently way too nerfed and unrealistic in the base game imho).

I'd like there to be a lot less "base" formations and more opportunities to customize them.

How do you guys feel about disabling most non-pure formations and just getting a, say, 10x multiplier on customization point ...

It's a bit unrealistic the guy who runs brigade has the same job prestige as the commander of a group army 10x bigger. Same for governors of a size 1 village vs the governor of a size 7 metropolis.

The only formations I use are MG Infantry, Armored and Heavy Armor.

On the Discord I'm hearing hatred of formations involving unmotorized/unmechanized infantry with artillery, great love of customized heavy MG/RPG & non-trivial support for heavy grenadier types.

According to my testing, it looks like modding in new OOBs is cursed. Which explains why neither Catasteroid nor Pymous's (deprecated) mods have new OOBs.

However the need for pure walkers (and other useful formations) is surely greater than the 99th variant of unmechanized, unmotorized towed guns ...
