Struggling how to fully understand ideal weapon launch altitude (picture included)

which area shows me the ideal firing/launch altitude?<br/>
I checked the manual but it didn't not add up for me.<br/>

Anyone know why when I create units with an HQ - the HQ ends up going missing next turn?
Then when I create a single HQ - I get that message?

If I have sealed roads then add railroads - am I better off using new routes for railroads or laying them on top of the sealed roads? Any advantage or disadvantages?

Interesting on the model design - I will check when the AI is done with their turn in 10min.

As for research - if you get on one of those where its taking forever to complete - can you change it to something else?

Ohhh okay.
I always used their AP on ranged attacks instead of clicking them as a unit on normal attacking.
Maybe that is why I am so bad on attack haha.

Artillery question

There are 2 options with artillery -ranged attack and then include that unit on a normal attack.

I understand the ranged attack and assume it is best for trying to disrupt readiness.

Is there ever a reason to use the artillery units as part of a normal attack?

With that said - how many zones is normal late in the game?
I was running with 4 - obviously it needs to be much more.
Is 15 too many? I am not sure how to divide the zones up now.

It seems my resources are too far from the capital and need a new zone.
