I think I had the same problem. I wrote the same report to Slitherine.
Did you register your game at the Matrix-Site? I mean the Matrix-Member site (not the Forum). I never did it. But after i did id a few minutes ago, i could login to PBEM ++ normaly.

Thanks for your answer. But even if I deactivate avira antiwir, its still not working. I made a fresh install of the game, but the probblem is the same.

What do you mean with a reboot? Simply a shutdown?
