RE: Manual PDF

That's great! The outdated manual was really an issue.

RE: Combat odds calculation q

I have a follow-up question. The actual result may differ from the prediction by 1 on each side. Is the probability of this always the same, for example at 0:0 compared to 0:8? Or is the attacker in the second case so much stronger that it is very unlikely the result will be 1:8?

<r> A small difference, but you are absolutely right. Thanks. [:)]<br/>
<br/>
Perhaps you can also explain this behaviour?<br/>
In the first video you can see a transport in cruise mode: <URL url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6YSp6AhduA&t=772s">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6YSp6AhduA&t ...

Cruise mode and FoW

<t> The cruise mode does not reveal the FoW, but does this make any sense? You know the path is safe if the ship reaches the target hex, and another ship can use the same path. Whether the FoW is revealed therefore makes no difference. You have the same information, but in cruise mode you are only ...

<r> You are right:
<QUOTE><s>
</s>Note that the best use of Subs in combat is to lurk and ambush enemy vessels. If however, a Sub moves before attacking then the vessel it attacks will have its losses reduced by 50%, and the attacking Sub will have its losses doubled. <e>
</e></QUOTE ...

RE: Adjusting Artillery

<r> <QUOTE><s>
</s>There are a number of interesting ways of addressing this problem, but at the moment, even if you restrict the number of shells that artillery can have by linking that to Logistics Tech, it is still possible from 1915 onwards to line up 2 artillery units on the same target ...

RE: HQ range bug

It makes sense ... but [;)] ... I would have expected the fields to be displayed not hatched, as is the case with the fields with the yellow arrows.

Edit: I see, then you don't know how far you can advance with a unit into enemy territory and still stay in the HQ range.

RE: Prepared attacks with u-boats

That explains it. (You don't have to look, of course, thank you very much.)

I think it would be nice if the combat predication showed that, because in both cases it shows "NA=4 vs SUD=3" but with a different result.
