Allies have now won 62% of matches after 36 games.

Looks like quite a lot of games will finish in April. Next update on May 4.

From an earlier thread it looks like this for the USA:

"There is a 50% chance until it fires that USA get 5-10% mobilization if there is an Axis unit within 1 hex of Alexandria, Cairo, or Amman."

I am sure there is a similar sized hit for USSR, but I can't find the details anywhere. Someone will ...

I am happy with the usual ELO rules, but also happy for you to suggest any house rules.

ELO Ranking notes:

It is early days, but the Allies won 60 percent of games played. 3 out of 10 games also provided a small bonus to the losing player for lasting until 1946.

Next month the rankings should appear on a permanent website.

Firsteds

Wake is an anomaly. It has been discussed on the forum before. The reason is unclear. Even in single player against a weak AI it is very difficult to crack. Best to skip it.

The new ranking will be based on games that finish from January 1 2026. The first ranking table will be published on February 1.

Lots of support for a fresh start. New year new start? It's probably a good idea. Let me know if there is any strong opposition to this before January 1.

Actually let's keep it very simple.

New game started: X (Allies) v Y (Axis). Scenario is optional. ALWAYS put Allies first.

Result: X (Allies) either WINNER or LOSER v Y (Axis). ALWAYS put the Allies first.

I don't need to know the date for the system I am using.
