Re: Thank you, AI Depot Assist

Agreed. Depot placement and RR repair should serve your "grand" strategy. AI assist can't know what you're up to. It's never even approximated what I have ever wanted it to do. I stopped using it many games ago. And i'm pleased with my supply situation, unless I do something stupid.

Re: New manual.

I'm a relative newbie.
For me, like any reference material, the manual is not "read" per-se, but selectively consulted when I am ready to tackle something new: like getting serious about the air war or actually getting a clue on how logistics impacts combat.

Disconnected rail hex showing non-zero axis usage

I am seeing rail usage on these 2 yellow hexes. WAD? No? Cosmetic issue?

Re: Army commander should lead battles

Late thought. Going back to the original point, having the cmdr of Army, or AG directing the course of a battle is called micro-managing. Generally, that's a recipe for failure. Re: Army commander should lead battles

I have to think it is a both/and.

Alexander of Macedon's ability to read the enemy and dispose his forces to match whatever was facing him makes for impressive reading. For that I'm thinking more of his campaign in India than Persia. It wasn't always a case of just throw the phalanx against them ...
