In future builds we should have a built-in workaround for these issues, but a fix that has worked for some is to disable SMT on these processors while running the game.

You may also try disabling CCDs other than CCD0 (e.g. CCD1) if you know what that means.

Why store the xml in the save files?
Decision was made before I signed on. It's non-traditional, it has its share of pros and cons.

Did you previously use any mods by any chance or have any loose xml files in the data directory?

The game content is baked into saved games, so if you previously had a mod and removed it, that would cause this.

One of the crashes says there's a duplicate tech tree entry.

Most of you will likely already have .NET 6 installed, however, if you're prompted to install .NET 6 by the game upon first run, to ensure you get the right .NET Desktop runtime, here are some additional details. :)

Hey, did you see anything in the source about what sound codecs/containers DW2 will load? I see it has an ffmpeg library... so hopefully that means pretty much anything?


I ask because the vanilla tracks are mp3, and it would be great to export music as literally anything but mp3.
