Game Has Gone Very Dark

Post by PrivateLsd »

Hello all

Ever since the last beta update and including the latest one, the screens of the game have gone very dark to the point where you can only just see the screen at all.

I've updated my video card drivers to the latest version and that unfortunately hasn't fixed the problem. I'll attach a screenshot and a dxdiag report to this post so that you can see what I mean.

Any help solving this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

If it's any help at all, my monitor was one of the models that experienced the blinking starfield problem. I hope this information helps.

Do you still have this issue on the betas with a Stride version on or after v4.2.0.2?

Could you please provide a Session Log and a DxDiag report? Also, please be available when TylerIN reaches out to help investigate the issue.

We've included several HDR fixes and customization options that aim to address some of the issues users have been reporting. Please give the latest public beta 1.1.5.8 a try and let us know if that addresses HDR issues you've been experiencing.

I apologise for the late reply everyone.

To answer the questions: yes, I only started having this problem when Stride got updated a few patches ago. I also only experience this problem when I use High Dynamic Range Rendering. I also use DirectX.

I have updated the game to the latest public beta (1.1.5.8) and so far that hasn't fixed the problem, but I haven't played around with the gamma settings yet.

Hello Everyone

Increasing the gamma setting to 2.00 (twice the default setting) seems to have fixed the HDR issue but this hardly seems optimal as the default setting should work right out of the box. Please note that all of this was experienced while using the latest public beta (1.1.6.1)

We're glad to hear that the gamma settings help with the HDR issues. We're looking at additional solutions on how to address the HDR issue.
