Re: First time grand campaign tips? Turn 8

Thank you for the reply Rick, no need to apologize. This is quite the ambitious plan! Next time I play I'll have to attempt it.

Re: First time grand campaign tips? Turn 8

Thanks for the reply, do you have any suggestions for what units I should use for attacking corsica or sardinia? Deciding on who goes to italy versus the islands is troubling me.

Re: Retreat vs. Surrender

In my experience, waiting a turn to make sure units are "isolated" instead of attacking them the turn they are surrounded usually has the units surrender to me. I'm certainly no expert though.

First time grand campaign tips? Turn 8

Hello all, first time WitW forum poster. I recently decided to dive into this deep game after having it and WitE2 on my radar. I'm more interested in the Western Theatre than the East, so I chose this game. I read plenty of helpful posts and looked at many guides on the forum, so thank you all for ...

Re: ICARUS MOD Version 5 - Shri vs Wassmus

Excellent AAR Shri. You seem to be quite the tactician. I'm hoping to learn some lessons from this. I think I sometimes make the mistake of investing too much into R&D when I should be making more troops. Compared to you, I feel you certainly have more experience than me. I've only ever played ...

A thank you to the Devs!

Hey! I wasn't sure where to write this, but I just want to say thank you for creating accessible wargames, specifically the Strategic Command games. I'm only 26, (I jokingly refer to these games as the older gentleman games) but I have a passion for history/military history.
I've been bonding with ...

Victory Text

Absolutely love the game! I recently finished a game as the Confederates on Intermediate with the help of French intervention in the war. I got a decisive victory and the game ended right away after a simple victory popup. This was the first SC game I've ever won in. Personally, I would have loved ...
