Re: Iraq coup oddity

Actually, on digging into the scripts more, could it not simply be that your opponent decided not to launch Operation Sabine?

It's not really possible for them to capture Cairo without them getting 1-2 units within 7 hexes of the Suez Canal (which is one of the conditions for DE 107 to fire ...

Re: Poland in one turn

All the top players have stopped taking Poland in one turn.

It's a tactical success but a strategic blunder as it allows Russia to avoid a mobilization penalty.

You also want to move your tanks and some other units to the west on the very first turn.

You can take Warsaw turn1 without using ...

Btw, is the fix to the pearl harbor fleet spawn save game compatible?
Yes it should be.
just realized I didn't specify it enough, does that include ongoing PBEM games or just singleplayer?

Re: Another Bug or Unintended Consequences?

Russia and Japan are suddenly at war with each other without any DoW by either player.

Strange so many random things seem to be not WAD this patch.

If the USSR surrenders then Japan will automatically have a belligerent status with the USSR, so that its units can enter former Soviet ...

Re: Another Bug or Unintended Consequences?

Personally I think I'd still prefer to see an attack on the UK as an attack on India if it's already mobilised. India is at war with Germany due to its mobilisation. Why not Japan as well?

You might want to be careful what you wish for XD the reason I did not declare war on India is ...

another thing I noticed in this game is that the Okamura HQ, which starts in Haikou, can command 1 unit less than the other Japanese HQs. At no C&C researched, it could command only 4 units, and with lvl 1 C&C, it can command 5, while all other HQs can command one more.

I'm playing vs Dalby so ...

there are some more oddities with this patch I feel. When I load a game, after replay, the map doesn't show. It shows the production tab and I have to click a few times to go to the map. Sometimes it goes to the convoy map.

Is this when playing in PBEM, Hotseat or against the AI?

Re: Poland in one turn

Taking Warsaw on t1 is possible 10/10 times. There are many different ways to do it, including using bombers, but you can also do it without bombers, or without tanks. Though some of those ways are riskier and don’t have a 100% success rate, though there are usually plan B’s. I explained some ways ...

Re: AAR: TRP Mod, Machiafisch (Axis) vs. calcwerc (Allies)

Are HQ's less fragile in TRP? I have seen them on the frontline without taking damage several times already.

Thanks for sharing the tech, that's interesting. It seems like everyone (at least on Allied side, but I assume Axis isn't different) is able to do a lot more teching. The caps are higher ...

Re: AAR: TRP Mod, Machiafisch (Axis) vs. calcwerc (Allies)

Yes, I am happy to comment on that!

First, these are the house rules for the mod:
W: Communist Chinese, when entering Chinese territory, must be within 5 hexes of a Communsit Chinese hex
- W: Other than China & Com. China no other country (on the Allied side) can enter China/Com. China ...

Re: HQ attachments

Units of a major power can be commanded only by an HQ of that major power.
Units of a minor power can be commanded by any HQ of a major power or by an HQ of their own minor power.

India is a Major power, so their HQs can command minor powers of their alliance, such as Burmese or Sudanese troops ...

Re: AAR: TRP Mod, Machiafisch (Axis) vs. calcwerc (Allies)

the mods house rules prevent an Axis attack on France through the Low Countries before May 1940.

Why is that though? Since I've also understood you can't really knock France out of the war before end of June. Why keep the historical date of attack, when historical date of surrender is pretty ...

That's unfortunate :( Is it random per turn or randomly fixed though? Maybe the devs can answer that?

I hope you are working on a great AAR against DmitryN!
