They will mine more. You can see mining rate when you design a ship in the industry tab.

Hi! I accidentally found out that small mining engines can be stacked on a mining station. You can quadruple the mining rate by manually adjusting mining station design. Can you fix it, pls? Just increase small mining engine by 20 or something, so it can't be inserted in a regular slot. Thanks. :D

And I was wondering what these yellow dots are. M.b. it's a UI scaling issue? Try different screen resolutions and UI scale settings.
It's possible to see colonization chances in the colonization menu screen, so at least it's not a gamebreaking bug.

When I upgrade this design, all fleet templates upgrade it too as intended. But fleets don't and just order new one of the latest model.

Yes. With trim enabled, a fleet removes older models and buys new ones, older models became independent and also retrofit themselves. With trim disabled – a fleet just buys new ones.

Hi! As for the latest patch there is a little oversight in the game logic. If you set in a fleet template a specific design and turn on "auto upgrade obsolete specific design" - a ship template will be properly updated when player introduces new upgrade to a design.

Found the problem.
I've been using custom upgrade path for my ships. So I can have multiple designs per hull type. Fleet manager doesn't understand this.
The whole system with templates work only if your are not using specific ships with specific upgrade lines. Should just have "latest designs for ...

So I have a problem. I want my fleets retrofitting their ships first and then ordering new ones if they lack something.
How the game works now - when I am introducing a new upgrade to a ship - fleets order this new model despite having an opportunity to upgrade old ones.
