Re: Questions to China

1. China's Dockyard capacity is 4,000t in 1890.

2. Yes, Crew Quality has a massive impact on Damage Control, but so do Damage Control techs. Fires are especially lethal pre-1910 or so.

I see ... ok, my fault. I have not considered that and I start regularly in 1900 as in 1890 I cannot build ...

Questions to China

I have some questions to China:

1. Building
The dockyard capacity is in the description 4.000 t and in the game 10.000 t. It is nit a big issue because you can play with a "house rule" not build bigger ships than 4.000 t in a local yard. However, this bug is in since the game started and ...

Re: Scrapping ships

Hard to say for RTW 3 ...

In RTW 2 I scrapped ship when I assumed that they were easy prey for the enemy. Best example are old pre-dreadnought which were to slow to escape, had no torpedo protection and thin deck armor. So a loss in abattle was very likely and would gave significant points in a ...

Re: "Longer wars" option needed

There are during war events in which you are asked by your government whether a peace should be accepted, negotiated or fought. The government does not always follows your recommendation. Detailed bargaining is not in the game.

I got the impression that wars are now longer than in RTW 1 and 2. But ...

Re: Yet another moan about destroyers and torpedoes

if I member that correctly, during the battle of Jutland the German torpedoboats had to screen the retreating main force of the Hochseeflotte. The majority of all boats attacked and fired their torpedos achieving not a single hit. So, unsuccessful torpedo attacks are realistic, I think.

BTW.:

You ...

Re: Aircraft Carrier Combat Advice

My dogma is "savety first", i. e. have always fighters to defend your carriers. It is better to have too much backup than too few. Keep them away from the battleships. Keep them very far away. Reckon, reckon, reckon. Who sees the enemy carriers first, may strike first ... and will win.

You may even ...

Re: Mines...are they really necessary?

The whole Baltic sea was totally "contaminated" with mines in WW1 as well as WW2.

Every operation there was extremely risky because of mines. I would like the possibility to lay minefileds as you want but I understand that this is in the scope of the game not possible. Mine warfare is and was a ...
