Ah so for movement 'real Pythagorean' distance is used and not the go hex by hex distance. Very good to know.

There are 2 specific glitches I have in mind. They both happen quite often but reproducible examples are as follows.

Method 1
1. Load Scenario 1 as Nationalists go to the San Marcial no 22 Regimento

Actually caused by hex geometry.
The hexes are 42 pixels in width, but each line of hexes is 38 pixels distant from the line below.
Or in other words, hexes are 42 pixels wide, but 38 high.
Changing the hexes height or width does cause a wrongly shaped hex.

Unit logistic details do not redraw after using Merge or Dump

Per title although I don't know if this is WAD to save resources or a bug where out of 3 buttons only 1 triggers redraw. The pane that does not redraw is supplies & ammo on hand/handling capacity/needed.

Without closing the game I have loaded a pre crash save and continued setting up T1. After a while LCU list started struggle more than usual with getting redrawn correctly again.

Crash took place while trying to view the full unit list at Valladoit. Prior to the crash LCU list window would display correctly, but clicking on the full list would bring up the full list of LCUs at Cannaries instead of Valladoit. Normally disbanded devices appear in the pool instantly. Nevertheless I did run 2-3 turns to check and there were no changes to the pool of railway cars.

My understanding is that hexes are 5 NM each. And it holds true when using pressing V key and checking distance between any 2 hexes. However when checking any further distances they tend to not be in multiple of 5.

The dump button creates a unit named Vehicle Dump which is a RSV unit.


If you left click it certainly does. But if you right click with no RSV unit in the hex the vehicles just dissapear.

Ok, you are right the hex info data shows correct nations. Sorry for the bother. Nevertheless "Germany" consistently popping up on LCU list pop up is a tad confusing.

1. Not an issue. The hexes are not German. But if you request unit data for a hex with no force, then the game cannot find a nation be present and so the 1st nation on your side is chosen for data shown.


Hexes with troops in them are also labelled as German

1. As [er title all of the non base hexes default to being German. Given that LCU losses multiplayer is different for fighting on allied vs enemy territory it seams like a major debuff to the Republicans.

When right clicking Dump button and no RSV unit exists im the hex vehicles just dissapear into thin air. No RSV unit is created and no changes are reported in the global pool.

As a side note having Dump button and detach disabled button work in the opposite way is a tad confusing. For Dump button ...
