you mean you can't cross the Don to drive onto the Caucasus?

Which bugs are you referring to? I haven't received any response since my last update so yes, I assume all previous bugs have been fixed


sorry - scan reading through the posts i thought i saw references to a few bugs - look forward to trying it in PBEM - think Case Blau offers so many more ...

am interested in playing this in PBEM - is it still buggy or have most of them been fixed?

Looks great - think Case Blau gives Axis more options and even a chance to win

I can recommend Taaff!

He's a strong opponent, definitely tough for new players, though not quite a veteran yet.

If you'd rate yourself around Middle+ and want a challenging, fun game, consider playing against him.

He always plays till the end and kills with his humor. :lol:

I have played the Icarus mod a number of times now.
It is very stable, seems nicely balanced, and is quite fun
The changes give interesting options that are realistic, and do extend the game until later time periods.
I am a poor player, but I lasted until July 1917 against an excellent player ...

Thanks everyone - i took a deep breadth and dived into Directive 21 EF 41-45 - its huge but says it specifically designed for Axis human against Soviet PO. Now i've started it am getting over the huge scale and getting into it - also with hopefully the good PO i can dive in and out when i have time ...

recently bought the game and looking for advice on best East Front 41-45 scenario playing as Axis human vs Soviet PO.

Tried Directive 21 and am finding the floating battles button doesn't seem to work - which is frustrating in a scenario of this size - useful to be able to see what battles are ...

Am currently playing Icarus 6.9 and am unable to setup the convoy between Germany and AH - now on turn 2 - declared war on Belgium on turn 1

Has anybody else had his problem ?

I've not used GIMP, but you should be able to copy the letter C from one of the naval units and paste it into the relevant place.

Or if GIMP allows writing, you could simply write the letter C in the right place on one, and then copy that one to paste it over the others.

Hi

There are multiple elements to the Blue Max mod, so it will be best to turn off any that change the unit display, as otherwise your own modded work won't be able to appear. The other elements of it will be fine to continue with.

Yes, you will have to modify the unit bitmaps relevant to that Major or side (if it is a Minor).

It might be best to refer to Part 2 of the Manual on designing your own campaigns as your next step, and then ask any further questions here should they arise.

Thanks Bill -

installed Gimp and did a quick fill of the Mtn Corps sprite to create a new counter for the new unit - worked out about copying files locally to mods folder and changing bitmaps to 1 in the localiation folder - also need to get the game to point to the mod

New Unit Counters

Hi,

I have created a new unit type in a o mod but its using the vacant Mtn Corps slot which means its using the Mtn Corps counter.

Does anybody know how I can g about changing this - maybe using another counter already in the game somewhere or else importing a new counter icon?

Any help ...
