<t>The costs are mostly balanced in themselves, with a little historical tendencies taken into account. Btw, there was a problem with the server, and all clients need to be updated to 1.15+ so that they have the correct ip address.<br/>

<r>Game 8 starts as soon as 3 more players join it. By the way, to start playing, you need to join to a game after registering. Join to a new game from the "server"-menu and select your preferred nations. The server will send out emails when the game is beginning. It's possible to join and play in ...

To clear the confusion about the name... It comes from what in Finnish is called the Treaty of Westfalen, which I think is the Treaty of Westphalia in English.

Westfalen - a turn-based multiplayer strategy

<r>Westfalen is a somewhat EU-inspired turn-based strategy game in which 19 European nations battle for power. Each turn is downloaded from the server. Usually the speed is about 3 turns per week. The game is simple and easy to learn, with only three troop types (infantry, cavalry and cannon) and no ...

Thanks Mosh, but Paul Vebber already explained those.

Btw, I finally got around to updating the bug list to reflect the situation in v7.0.

Some new V7.0 bugs

<t>I've noticed 2 new bugs so far:<br/>

***Unlike any other guns, high-caliber AA guns may fire on the same turn they are unloaded. Wasn't this already fixed once somewhere along the way?<br/>

***Setting the number of Air Sections in Preferences is not working and is instead randomized ...

<t>I play TCP/IP because<br/>
<br/>
-It lets you control opportunity fire.<br/>
-You see enemy movements.<br/>
-There's no time to micromanage everything, you have to divide your time and prioritize like a real leader would.<br/>
-You can have 4-player team games and co-op against the computer.<br ...

SPWAW's stability is better now than it ever has been. Those random crashes when saving a map or a scenario went away completely a few versions back.

<r>Sorry, Paul, I was ignorant that you were leading the v7 OOB development. Knowing it's you pretty much eliminates my concerns. And the "prior achievements" were not yours, although you did list them in a past thread (don't want to dig up that old dirt, probably should've just kept quiet).<br ...

I also am a bit leery about the new OOBs, considering the source and it's prior "achievements". But if there was a list of changes, then at least we could see for ourselves.

Op-fire targeting bug

<t>When an unit gets opfire, it may fire on it's previous target instead of the target that caused the opfire. It happens often in online, but can happen in single player too. It is not caused by lag (just played a LAN game with a ping less than 5ms and probably half of all opfires were at wrong ...

<t>I tested the effectiveness of MG's with the same configuration as in the earlier tests and came up with an average of 2.2 kills per first time MG42 round. <t>Weren't FTs used mostly against bunkers, buildings and trenches anyway? It makes sense that they are effective against them, but the problem in the game is that they're most effective by a large margin (enought to set off my gamekiller alarm) against mobile troops in a clear hex where there's ...
