RE: Windows 7 Game play problems

<t> Thanks for the replies guys. I was able to find the list of Command switches and found one that works out great for me! Very happy. Here's what I am using in case it helps anyone else:<br/> <br/> "C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -cpu#3...

Windows 7 Game play problems

<t> Hi all, been a while since I played the original WitP and have been getting the bug to start up the game again. Unfortunately I could not get the game to run in Win 7 without serious problems when playing. The screen goes black and unit/base windows will not close forcing me to uninstall it. I j...

RE: Replenishment TF Won't Refuel TF

Are you sure you have "Ops" points available? I have found that when refueling TFs from AOs the smaller escorts seem to refuel from the larger Capitol ships BBs & CVs and this tends to drain them out and use points that may be needed for the larger ships to refuel themselves from the AOs.

RE: W7 and Resolution

Is there some option we are not checking to get to fullscreen Jeff? When I had XP installed the game automatically seemed to fill the monitor, just installed Win 7 and have the black borders around the edges and it is not being run in windowed mode. Thanks for replying.

some turns I also take an hour or so - I sometimes can't believe when I look up and what seemed like a 5 minute trip around the map has taken so long. Accounts for a lot of burnt meals lol

RE: Out with the old, In with the new

When I printed out my WitP manual a few months ago - it ate up 2 Color and Black cartridges each. That was damn near $50 more spent but definately needed for me. The Physical Edition of AE will be the way I go in a few more weeks! [;)]

RE: US Submarine torpedoes

<t> I've been noticing quite an increase in deck gun activity starting about May '42 from my subs. Even occur during the daytime which seems suicidal. I have 4 based off Scerabaja, 3 just south of Rabaul and the rest doing their own thing and have 3-4 Sub attack combat reports a turn so they are def...

RE: Optimum fighter altitudes - how do I know whats best AE

<t> Wouldn't the Allied Radar, when developed, be able to communicate with the CAP as to the altitude of incoming raids? Is there any modelling of communication between ground controllers and air units? I would hope that if I have a CAP around a major port or base with available Radar capability and...

GUI Update in AE?

<t> Hi again all - been deeply involved in the stock game as the GF has been visiting her siste out in Oregon for a week and I am still out of work with the arm. RE: Should I wait for AE?

Fortunately it is the left arm in the sling and I am right-handed. Now just have to squeeze in some time to DL the game between the sponge baths. My GF has been very accomodating in that department[:D]

RE: Should I wait for AE?

<t> Thanks for all of the input guys. Am currently out of work for the next few months after surgery to repair my biceps tendon so I will have plenty of time to get down & dirty with all of the game's details, but am currently limited to only 1 arms usage lol. Gotta figure a way to get my cast s...

Should I wait for AE?

<t> Hi all, I have been interested in WiTP for a little while now and am wondering if I should wait for the AE Release and purchase the Digital DL & Physical Shipment then, or jump in now. Will AE be a separate add-on that must be purchased? From Erik's post about waiting on the new manual with ...

<t> Hi all - was taking a bit of a break from the MC last month and spent all day today playing the first 506th scenario in Eindhoven.
