Folka don'r seem to be into the Pacific as much as the European-Russian Theater of War.

From my experience the primary fascination of gamers is the East Front. I've never quite understood that.

I know something of that war, it scope, and the dramatic battles that took place. Still, the Pacific has its own appeal.

The sterotype of Marines hitting the beaches time and time again really does not portray the size and uniqueness of that war.

A mix of all of them is a good educational exercise and a lot of fun.

PS: Seriously, I think it could be a very interesting play if someone would try a small campaign covering the allied recapture of Attu.

Hmmm...and I have a map of Massacre Bay and Chichagof Harbor already made!!!

So true! The Japanese invasion and/or Commonwealth defense/liberation of New Guinea would, for example, make for quite an interesting MC.

Here is an interesting site dealing with the Allied liberation of Papua, New Guinea. One picture depicts a Japanese 'Betty' bomber about to be destroyed by parafrag bombs. Never heard of those:

I wish they would hurry up and get one here in Beantown! They sure get a lot of word-of-mouth publicity.

Prof - I believe one opened up in Medford at the beginning of July. Located on Revere Beach Parkway. Good excuse for a trip on a nice hot day! Bring me back a couple please. Take care and good to see everyone again - BAR

I've devoured every spare moment Orzel has in the work involving the upcoming Steel Panthers Mega Campaign

And not only Orzel, but a lot of other folks too. If you wondered where they went, they are either in the WBW sweatshops or under fire on the WBW battlefield.

A fine job they are doing too. This Mega Campaign is coming around and will be a great piece of work....because of the great people that are devoting so much effort to make it happen.

It won't be long and it WILL be fun...real battlefield excitement.
