<t>Close combat is when one has no time to fumble around with all of HIS moth-balled smelling, plastic crap gear, etc. As a result, he goes for his e-tool and goes in swinging like a retarded version of Babe Ruth who has watched way to many movies. I hope that helps you conceptualize a rather dramat...

I would like to quote my wife,"WHAT IS THAT KNOCKING SOUND?" I reply..."It's glory!"

Well...not really...but it sounds good to her, as she roles her eye's and says, "UHHH HUUUHHH."

When they're close...go for the knife!

<t>Okay, enough of the moron tough talk. Listen, if the enemy is close then there should be an "assault (option) button". This would provide the player with a 'melee' option that is probable in combat (i.e., with bayonets, fists, whatever). Can it be done?<br/> <br/> ------------------<br/> "Dulce e...

<t>Yes, and remember, the muzzle flash of the MG42, 50. cal, etc. is greater than a small arms weapon; therefore, they are easier targets. In addition, they tend to have tracers. As a result, it's like "murphy's law", (I can't remember exactly how it goes) "If you use a tracer to see them, then they...

<t>Hey Wild Bill, thanks for the reply. I agree , any input is good input and therefore, "food for thought". BAR...hmmmm..."old school"...That was my father's assigned weapon in the Korean war. Any way, I was not making overt critisism; rather, it was a contemplative effort on my part to open discus...

German camo?

<t>This is a lame question...minor in the whole spectrum of things, yet, for all of us concrete operational thinkers, is there any way the early werchmacht troops can be grey rather than the camo pattern? I find myself imagining that they are Waffen SS, etc. when they are not. <br/> <br/> ----------...

The crew served weapons are too darned...

<t>It seems as if the crew served weapons (i.e., LMG's, MMG's, and HMG's) are too tough for their own good. I can lay down everything I have and they don't seem to die. One might say, "Yes, but they're smaller in number thus the probability of a round hitting them is less [bla bla bla bla])". I'm su...

Hitler Jugend and campaigns

Are there any scenarios with the Hitler youth and Deutscher Volksturm Werchmacht defending Berlin? In addition, what about campaigns (i.e., Guadalcanal, etc.)?

Patch for the patch?

Will there be a patch that corrects the weather problem associated with scenarios/campaigns? In addition, tried to recreate USMC campaign in the pacific...it always started me in the middle of the mainland...regardless of year and month. Any advice?

Tech knowledge...HELP!!!

<t>Anyone...please...I'm an "idiot" when it comes to terminology and instructions that yield to "copying the ABC into EFG and saving into the XYZ, with the exception of the QRM...and, oh yeah, be sure to delete the LMN before you copy OPQ, etc., etc." Okay, I know, the example was kinda long. But an...

<t>It's funny you say that. I just finished downloading the v2.0 (upgrade patch) and played a german blitzkrieg campaign (september '39). I could not for the life of me knock out one of the polish tanks. In addition, before I could keep trying, the darn thing crashed. What to do?<br/> <br/> --------...

Lengthy load?

<t>Roughly, how many megs shall the patch be? In other words, I hope that I won't have to tie up my phone line for 36 hours like I did when I originally downloaded this incredible wargame. Nevertheless though, it will be worth it regardless of its size.<br/> <br/> ------------------<br/> "Dulce et d...
