Display problems

<t>I am running SPWAW on Windows 2000 SP1 with DirectX 8.0.<br/>
<br/>
During the game, my display will go completely black. If I move the mouse around, the underlying game display will be reviled under the pointer. If I move the mouse pointer far enough the scroll the map, everyting comes back ...

<t>In the Thin Red Line, At one point, if you watch the 105's behind Nick Nolte's character, you will see them jump up in the air instead of recoiling like a real artillery piece. Watch the gun tubes, there is no backward movement at all.<br/>

I think you can also use the spacebar to confirm the op fire.

<t>Yes, but usually a unit would 'disperse', and only after having come under heavy pressure and taking lots of casualties.<br/>
I think it would be nice to be able to reconstitute units from the dispersed soldiers. There are many examples of Officers and NCO's saving the day with units build out of ...

<t>I figured that the code determined that the Engineer unit had taken suppression and 'surrendered' to the enemy unit in the hex. I doubt that the code takes into effect the cause of the suppression, or that the suppression was caused by friendy fire. But the unit did surrender. It was still at 9 ...

Surrender?!?

<t>I had a German 251/1 overrun a concealed Russian ATR. The ATR successfully disabled the 251 and caused the Pioneer squad to bailout. The Squad was unable to return fire so another Pioneer squad closed with and assaulted the Russian ATR. When the second squad attacked the ATR with a satchel charge ...

I was in the 3/8 in Mainz. We wished we had heaters. Our heater was pulling behind an M1 and heating our whole 113 from the exhaust! The sides of the 113 would actually get hot to the touch. Really handy on those cold Graf and BH nights.

OP Fire Order

<t>There seems to be some weirdness to the way that my units are selected for op fire.<br/>
<br/>
Enemy tank fires at Friendly tank G1 at 5 hexes. My Op fires come from Friendly tank B1 which is 12 hexes away, or my ATR E0 that is 8 hexes away! Tank G2 which is beside G1 and is suppose to be ...

Just got kicked out of a game for no reason, all the way back to the desktop. It happened just as my artillery was falling on the enemy. The game had been going for some time. (First battle of long German Campaign)(Running Windows 2000 pro).

<t>During play I accidently hit the "End Game" button, when asked if I wanted to leave the game I selected "No". The game continued but I lost the remainder of my turn. I tried this on the next turn with the same result, if I select "End Game" then select no, it is as though I hit the end Turn ...

German CBF Tactics

<t>It was common practice by 1941 for the Germans to have dedicated, General Support Artillery available for Counterbattery fire. <br/>
<br/>
The germans were restrictive about breaking up units and usually kept batteries together. Later in the war the germans did however employ Arbeitsgeschutz (sp ...
