N. Africa Bug?

Does the bug still exist? I have just had N. Africa collapse during August '41 for the second straight game playing the Germans against the Soviet AI.....very frustrating..

<t>Oops! I almost forgot...I also met a retired Marine who had been at "Frozen Chosin". What a fascinating guy and good story teller. He was driving a taxi taking me from Logan Airport to my house after a business trip. He recounted the whole experience for me - he was still going on when we got to ...

<t>GDwarf: Sorry to hear about your father in law's ill health. It is very sad that the WWII vets are passing on so quickly now. <br/>
You can probably find out a lot about him from NARA (National Archives and Records Administration). I have some homework to do with them as well, as I have a great ...

<t>McGib: That is interesting that the Canadian vets had that viewpoint on Nov. 11. My WWI grandfather was in the American Legion - admittedly not the most progressive organization on earth - and I can remember him (and the Legion)yelling bloody murder when they tampered with the holiday.<br/>

<t>Not for selfish reasons (I still work), but I have always been upset with how Veterans Day has become the incredible shrinking Holiday in the U.S. In my mind it should be right up there with Memorial Day and the others that are still celebrated. All the businesses are open now on Nov. 11 - and ...

Seth - Good advice from the previous posters, but are you playing a PBEM game? There are well documented bugs in the current version with the routine convoy system that might also be contributing to the problem, to my knowledge this is happening only in PBEM games.

. (Yeah, and I saw what one wag, or wit, wrote about that and still have to face the facts that I have other things I have to do besides play any computer game no matter how much fun it is!) Daily turns in a game of this magnitude would mean that it wouldn't be the least ...

<r> <QUOTE><s>
</s>I don't think we'd want a map too large to see most of it on one screen / units being too small to make out. Just wondering.<e>
</e></QUOTE>

I think with the right design for the map interface this shouldn't be a problem - if you can jump across the strategic map ...

Other Scenarios?

Question for the developers: In the original 2.0 Matrix release of WIR, I remember reading that the other (non-'41 campaign) scenarios were not intended for use due to play balance and other issues. Is this still the case with version 2.1+ or have these scenarios now been updated?

<t>I agree with the daily turns - a lot is abstracted in Pacwar because of the weekly turns. Ok 1400 turns is a lot for a campaign game - I'd still like the option to do that though. In addition, if there are "mini"-capmaigns or battles included as an alternative to the monster campaign, those would ...
